  • Why aren't my Ocellaris Clown Fish Aren't Getting Any Bigger?

Three years ago I bought two tank raised baby clown fish that were a little over 1/2 inch long each. One of them died and I eventually bought another which was a little under an inch long. They paired off and seem perfectly happy and healthy but they are not getting any bigger. What could be causing this?

    Some information:

For around two years they have been housed in a 75 gallon fish only aquarium with around 70 lbs. of live rock, two filters and a protein skimmer. The water parameters are good and they are fed once a day...sometimes a mixture of flake food or pellets and sometimes live or frozen food. They have healthy appetites. Their tank mates are a Royal Tang, a Neon Goby and a Striped Damsel as well as a cleanup crew consisting of starfish, snails and crabs. Everyone seems to get along fine and there doesn't appear to be any problems except for the fact that the clown fish haven't grown perceptibly since I acquired them. I can't seem to find any information about this online.

  • Do I have to get a new mailbox?

I recently moved to a new house in a rural area and have a new USPS carrier. I order books through the mail a lot and the times she has delivered them, she pulls in the driveway and honks for me to get them. She always seems kind of rude. Today she asked if I planned to "keep getting all these packages" and said that if so I would need to "get a mailbox big enough to accommodate them". My mailbox is the usual size and I'm really not sure how I could upgrade. My old mail carrier just left any boxes on the porch. I don't want to sound rude or ungrateful, but isn't delivering the mail this woman's job? Does anyone know where I can look up postal regulations and if I have a right to complain?

  • How do you fill out a resume when there is a gap in your work history?

I graduated from college with a B.A. 2 years ago. While in college I didn't work. I had planned to go on to graduate school but ended up being a stay at home mom and traveling with my husband for his job. Now that my son is starting school I want to get back into the workforce but I have no idea how to fill out a resume considering that I haven't had a real job in 4 years and before that my only jobs weren't related to my chosen field. Does anyone know how I should approach a writing a resume?

  • Best stores for ladies with long torsos?

I'm 5'9" and, although that isn't super tall, I have trouble finding shirts that are long enough. I've tried shopping at tall stores, but they tend to be bigger all over. Can anyone suggest some stores that might carry clothes that would fit me better?

  • What breeds could these dogs be?

These two dogs are brother and sister, 9 months old and between 35-40lbs. It's hard to get a good picture of them both, but in person he looks like a miniaturized version of a Newfoundland.

  • Do you need Proof of Immunization to get a Passport in America?

I've been putting off getting mine because I was told that you have to have proof that you have had all the necessary childhood shots. The problem is, my documentation is lost. Reading through sites, I can't find anything specifically related to it. Is it required? If so, what happens if it is lost?

  • Does anyone know this website? What is it called?

There is a web site where you can enter a height and weight (and choose hair and skin color) and get a picture model of what you look like...or what you would look like at a different weight. I can't remember what it was called or how I found it. It isn't www.weightview.com.

  • E-bay Negative: Was I Wrong?

Okay, first I have to say that I have been buying and selling on E-bay for years and have never either given nor received a negative feedback until now.

On Nov. 15th I ordered what I thought was a real down blanket. The title of the auction was “NEW Pink and Brown Down Throw!” The item specifics and the auction text all said the blanket was down and never mentioned down alternative. There was a picture as well. On December 2, I had still not received the item, so I contacted the seller who said that she had sent it the day before and left no explanation for the delay. When I received the item on the 3rd, 18 days after ordering it, I found that it was down alternative. Exasperated, I left a negative feedback with my complaints. The seller immediately sent me a message ranting that it was wrong of me to do that because it obviously said, in the picture on the auction, that it was down alternative and that I obviously didn’t know how to read. I re-checked and, sure enough, if I got close enough to the screen I could see that there was 1/16”, blurry text saying “down alternative”. Since a seller can’t officially leave negative feedback, she left this note “cant please everyone even if they cant read”. After both feedbacks were left, she sent me another message that said “btw, there was a death in the family why I didn’t ship item”.

Now, I hate to think I was being mean, but I feel as if the auction was deliberately misleading (the only mention of alternative was tiny, blurry and in the item picture) and if there was a death in the family she could have given an explanation instead of just mailing the item over two weeks after I paid for it with no explanation. It seems unprofessional and the personal attacks on my literacy just make me angry! Then again, I feel like leaving negative feedback is a bad thing and I have avoided doing so in the past. Was I wrong?

  • How do I get rid of the cigarette smoke smell?

I travel for work and my company often negotiates deals with extended stay hotels. I’m usually in one place for months at a time and using the company rate at these hotels saves a lot of money. I don’t smoke and, honestly, the smell of cigarette smoke really bothers me. Normally this isn’t a problem, but I just moved to Greensboro, NC, and checked into a non-smoking suite that has obviously been smoked in. A LOT. I’d complain and trade rooms, but this one is on a corner and has a lot more sun and room than the other available rooms. My problem is that I can’t rid the room of the cigarette smoke smell. I’ve tried Febreeze, Oust and Lysol…soaking the entire room and leaving the windows open and the fan on for hours at a time, but to no avail. Is there any product or method to rid a suite of this awful smell? I hate waking up smelling like an ash tray!

  • Can anyone name this mythical Native American creature?

I’m trying to figure out the name of a creature from Native American myth, specifically Choctaw lore. I’ve never actually read about them, only heard of them in stories told by tribe members, but the name sounds something like Khan-ik-ko-sha. Supposedly these small creatures punish wayward children and generally wreak havoc within the community. I can’t find anything about them in literature, however, and I suspect it may be because I don’t have the correct spelling. Does anyone know the correct name and/or spelling? Also, are there similar Native American myths that this may be a corruption of? I’m aware that similar creatures populate European folklore, but I am only interested in of North American origin.

  • Interest Rates on Student Loan Consolidation?

I just graduated and I am trying to consolidate my student loans. Right now, they are with two different comapanies which offered me a 7.14% and 7.25% interest rate respectively. I called another company who had sent me literature, and they offered a 6.125% rate for the first 36 on time payments, then it will drop to 5.875% after that. I thought this was a good deal, but people keep telling me that it is an awfully high interest rate on a student loan. Does anyone know if a lower one can be found anywhere, and if so with what company? Is this about the best deal I will be able to get?

  • WoW or LOTR Shadows of Angmar?

I've been playing Wow, but thought I'd try out the beta version of LOTRSoA. So far, I love the graphics and the way they have stayed true to Tolkien's work. I always thought WoW was a little cartoony. Anyway, I'd like to know what other people who have played both think. What do you think is good/bad about the two? Do you think the LOTR game will last? Which is the better game IYO?

  • Can anyone give me advice about WoW?

I used to play the original Everquest awhile back (like 2000-3ish) but it seemed like after the last few expansions the game wasn’t nearly as fun to play and I really didn’t have the time to devote to it. Lately I have kind of missed playing and I’ve wanted to start playing another online RP again. I’ve heard that World of Warcraft is really exciting and has a great community but I don’t really talk to any of my gamer friends anymore so I don’t know much about it. I’ve read up on it from websites, but what I really need to know I have to find out from the people who play it. Is it a lot different than EQ was? Is it hard to start out all alone? Friends introduced me to EQ and they were fairly advanced when I began so they gave me lots of advice and showed me around. Also, the game’s website says that the quests don’t require the extensive time of many RPGs…is this true? Any answers or advice any players could give me would be great.

  • Who said this and in what movie?

"Dr. Livingston, I presume?" I have heard this so many times, lately in the play Agnes of God, but I don't think that is where it originated. It is driving me crazy!

  • 10 months and still no sign..?

My son is 10 months old and I still haven't gotten my period. I am breastfeeding, and I'm definately not pregnant. Could I be breastfeeding too much? Has anyone else heard of this happening? I feel fine so I don't really want to see my doctor, I mean, it isn't like I miss being miserable once a month.
