1 AnswerHorse Racing1 decade agoWhy doe China insist on occupying Tibet?
I just don't see why China is so insistent upon controlling and occupying Tibet? Countries occupy other countries because they either have economic or natural resources to exploit, they are militarily strategic, self-defense, etc. Tibet is none of these. It has little or no resources. It's not militarily strategic. It's not a threat. And the PR for China is very bad.

1 AnswerGovernment1 decade agoBy what constructional methods did the ancient Greeks actually build their great monuments?
When you observe the Parthenon or any of the Greek spectacular structures and monuments, you have to wonder how the hell did they actually do it? No electricity, cranes, hydraulics, steel, cables, etc., yet there they stand. They are as close to perfect monuments as any modern construction techniques could create, yet they had none of that technology. Sure, they had brilliant architects and artists, but who did the real hands-on work? You can't just force a slave to carve the frontispiece of the Parthenon with a hammer and chisel.
1 AnswerEngineering1 decade agoIs it illegal in the NFL for a tackler to grab the hair of the ball handler?
It seems the latest fashion statement for NFL players is to grow their hair long in the back. I would think a tackler would be tempted to grab the hair if that's all he could get.

6 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoHow can we reduce or eliminate partisan politics in US Gov't?
The founders did not anticipate the dysfunction caused by the bitter animosity between political parties. They were more concerned with balancing the 3 branches of gov't and to have checks and balances between the legislative and the executive. Unfortunately, nothing in the constitution addresses all of the problems caused by bitter partisan politics and conflicts. How can we amend the constitution to reduce or eliminate partisan animosity in our gov't and get back to a government that actually accomplishes something for the people.

These bombs are absolutely massive, certainly wiping out hundreds of innocent Iraqi civilians. But how can they pick a number? Anyone within a certain radius must be completely obliterated, so how could they see a piece of flesh and count that as a "dead"?

8 AnswersGolf1 decade agoDo you think paid republican operatives are organized to secretly pollute political forums like this?
I've noticed lately that there is an increasing number of carbon-copy republican talking point postings on political blogs, websites, etc., including yahoo answers - politics. Their opinions are so similar to official republican talking points that I'm suspicious that so many folks could be that stupid to support the Bush/Cheney's administration - could they be paid political operatives?
