  • An indelicate question, not for the squeamish...?

In doing research for an article on human sexual oddities I've run into a brick wall of sorts...all the sites I've Googled for videos of inter-special contact (wink-wink) are loaded with viruses and trojan horses (no pun intended) and such...are there any safe sites (preferably free, I don't think my publisher would go for covering a membership charge like this) ? All answers will be held discretely, of course.

  • Have we had enough of the press going after Sarah Palin?

When mayor of some small town she accepted gifts from local businesses. A facial. Flowers. A fish. The media reports on this because they can't come up with anything real to discredit her and they are terrified of her. Didn't Hillary have a little Whitewater problem, that was worth a little more than a freaking fish? If they aren't careful, they're going to make it easy for McCain/Palin to win because every attack just makes the average person more sympathetic to her. Had enough?

  • Incident in Korea...misstatement or funny business?

The story said the woman was shot twice from behind, and that the first shot struck her in the chest. Well, unless she was built oddly that can't happen, so either whoever wrote the article has no concept of anatomy or there's something esle going on they aren't saying. Your thoughts?

  • Russia mad at Indy?

Apparently, the Russian communists are upset with the portrayal of the KGB (in particular) and the Soviet Union (in general) in the new Indiana Jones movie, to the point where they want the film baned in Russia. Does that mean Hollywood finally got the cold war right?

  • Incest...moral or legal taboo?

After the case from Austria where the father kept his daughter locked up for 24 years and fathered 7 children with her, I did a little research and found that father/daughter incest is far more prevalent than it seems. Most cases never make it to the police (and therefore stay out of the news) but shrinks are dealing with rampant damage because of it. So my question to fathers is: 1) Have you never had any feelings like this? 2) Had them but rejected them on moral grounds? 3) Rejected them on purely legal grounds? 4) Done it anyway?

  • US aid to Burma...?

How interesting that it took less time for the US to get aid to Burma than it did to get aid to New Orleans. We treat the rest of the world better than we do our own and they STILL hate our guts. Maybe we should let them take care of themselves for a change. They can't hate us any more than they already do, can they?

  • A new olympic sport?

In a routine a few years ago, comic Lewis Black suggested that (a certain act made famous by the Clinton/Lewinski affair) should become an olympic sport, because it's harder tham curling and if you're any good at it you deserve a medal. Think we can get it added? It would certainly boost TV ratings!

  • A way to change the way Windows XP looks..?

I believe there is a way to change the look of XP so that it resembles a previous version of Windows. My problem is I inherited a machine at work that is already in this retro-look and want to change it back! I happen to like the way XP looks. But I,thought I'd ask before I go fooling around and screwq something up. Thanks

  • Does anyone else see the parallel to 1968?

In 1968 the democrats had two warring candidates (Humphrey and McCarthy) who eventually became buddy-buddy after tearing each apart, but in so doing managed to alienate the electorate, and that's how Nixon wound up in the White House. Does anyone else see the same basic scenario playing out now?

  • I need help with a practical joke...?

Could someone please send me via email a pic of a 35-ish female caucasian, nice looking, doesn't have to be anything special (clothed, nude, whatever) just a snapshot, no fancy studio pics? I have a bet with a friend that he couldn't tell a real woman from a fake in a chat room and plan on setting him up, but I need a pic for the profile. mrjones502003@yahoo.com

    Thank you.

  • Problem with Word 2003...runtime error?

I get a box that says Microsoft Visual C ** Runtime Library

    Runtime Error!

It then says that the application has been asked to terminate in an unusual way and must shut down. It has the document i was working on saved (at least partially) but i can't get at it because as soon as I open Word I get the same error message.

    Suggestions?

Keep in mind that a shadow is merely the absence of light and therefore does not exist. Can a real object be determined by something that is unreal?

...it fell off a shelf and hit you in the head, causing permanent brain damage? (Instead of you cracking the book it cracked you!) You never opened it, never read a word of it, and yet it had a profound influence on your life.
