Russia mad at Indy?

i am mad at indy and i am a red-blooded american. the movie sucked.

Yeah and I'm sure the Nazis weren't happy at Raiders or Crusade. Does it really matter what the commys think? The hatered between Americains and Commys was massive in the 50s so watering that down would just have been unrealistic and made a horrible movie worse. I mean this hatered led to American involvement in multiple wars, as well as many other not so friendly situations. If anything I think that the movie made the KGB look a lot smarter than us which is sad since I know it was not the intentions of Lucas and Spielberg.

Well, you know people. Someone will always be upset at the way their people are depicted in film. Hollywood will never accurately depict a group of people. For instance, when the film "300" came out, the Iranian community was very upset for the film's portrayal of the Persian army. Iran's president called the film a "propoganda piece". It's a possibility the filmmakers here may have stepped on some toes, but I don't feel that this film got the Cold War "right".

I always find it funny. Same premise with lots of movies they get all mad about how they were portrayed. Well surprise! Thats how you were!
