  • Is this really fraud?

My friends have been together for 16 years, but are not married. He was injured on the job three years ago and is on SSI. She received a small inheritance after the death of her dad. They have a child together.

Yesterday he received a letter in the mail stating that since she received the inheritance, he is committing fraud because they are living together and he didn't report her inheritance. Since they're not married, did he have to??

  • Can a landlord set rules to shower?

We rented a beautiful three bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home in July. Recently we started having problems with the drains running slow, and things floating up from the drains. Our landlord said that it's because the leach lines are being overloaded with the amount of water we're using with laundry, dishes, and showers. He ran a grey water line from the washer so it drains down a hill, but now says we should only shower once a week. This makes no sense since I grew up with a well and septic and NEVER had the problems we have here. Can he really control how many times we shower??

  • What's wrong with YaBB 2.2.3?

My husband and I started a Review Board for CB products. After three months of adding and revising, we put it online. Since I've never done anything like this, it was a lot of trial and error, but there's one problem I can't solve. No one can post a reply to a topic. They can post a new topic but not reply to an existing one. They get an error message "the connection is dropped because the server is busy". Funny thing, though, is when I go to yabbforum.com for info, I get the same message. No other website that I've gone to, including MySpace, has this issue.

My husband is angry at me that I can't figure this out. I'm at my wits end!! Please, do you know what could be wrong???

  • Can I be my own webhost?

My husband wants to do a review board for our business. Currently, the webhost we're using tends to get hacked on a regular basis. Is there any way I can host my own site on my own computer?? I have and iMac G4, but can get another computer if needed. What do I have to do so I don't have to have a separate webhost??

  • I can't remember the name of this movie. Can u help??

I remember watching a movie in the late 80's about a boy who is locked up in a military complex. He can't remember what year it is, and I'm thinking he went forward in time somehow. Why, though, I can't remember. He befriends a girl working there who had either green or purple hair and she was talking about a concert(Twisted Sister sticks in my head). She helps him escape, though.

    Any clues on this movie??

  • Nosy Neighbor. Need Ideas. Can U Help??

My elderly neighbor talks 2 the mailman every afternoon while he puts mail in our box. She then informs everyone when they have mail, and if it looks important. It's harmless, but annoying. I've asked her 2 quit looking at my mail, but she doesn't listen. I'd like 2 teach her a little lesson about "minding your own business".

I'm thinking of sending myself mail, but coming up with creative "From" businesses, like "Bondage International. Membership Application Enclosed"(and use a pair of cuffs as a logo), or Fertility Sperm Bank Donation Request. We don't get much mail delivered 2 that box since we have a PO box in the main office, but every once in a while, something comes through that she feels she needs 2 tell me about. Maybe this will break her habit.

I'm in need of more ideas because I plan on doing this for a month or 2. I figure if she has nothing better 2 do than glance at my mail, I'd give her something 2 look at.

    Any Suggestions???

  • Wireless Router Security. How do I set it up??

I have a Belkin Wireless G Router that I use for two iMac's to connect to the internet in my house. I'm hardwired direct from the router, but my husband is using an Airport card & is wireless. Every once in a while, when my husband's iMac is turned off, my wireless light on my router will start blinking like someone's using our connection. I'd like to set it up to where someone needs a password to connect to the router(company comes over, and sometimes they bring laptops), but I'm not sure how to do it. The manual confuses me, and when I go to the IP address of the router, I'm still confunded.

I have Charter High Speed Internet, but I'd really talk to someone who knows english, if you know what I mean. I'm REALLY illerate when it comes to stuff like this.

    Any ideas??

  • What's the difference between these nails?

What's the difference between acrylic, gel, crystals, and solar nails? I have acrylics to help me from biting my nails, but I was wondering the difference between them all. I've heard that a silk wrap is best for your nails, but I can't afford that right now. Anyone have a clue???

  • Can an Ex-Wife claim part of her ex-husband's estate, if he's remarried?

My dad is in the final stages of brain cancer. My hubby is worried that my mom, who's a b1+¢h, will try to contest the will and make a claim on the insurance. I want to make sure my step-mom(whom I love) will not have to fret about her. The two of them have been married for 21 years. There's a lot of insurance money involved, and my step-mom deserves every dime of that money.

  • Parents-Answer please??

Theories abound on what is the best way to raise children. Doing a little research in the subject.

Here are some questions for you.

    1. Do you spank, or have you ever spanked your child(ren)? If no, how do you punish your child when he/she has done wrong?

    2. Where was the last restaurant you took your child(ren) to?(Not fast food. An actual dining establishment with waitresses, tables and chairs, etc..)

    3. When was the last time you were complimented on your child(ren)'s behavior??

    4. Do people invite your child(ren) to come to events, like skating, bowling, picnics, cook-outs, etc??

    5. Do you punish your child(ren) in any way if they misbehave in public? How do you punish them?

    6. Has anyone ever threatened to call Children's Services when you punished your child(ren) in public???

    Thanks for your time.

  • Need games and activities using wind and air. Any Ideas???

My daughter's Girl Scout troop is hosting a "Mighty Wind" party in April. We need ideas for games and activities using air or wind. I have gotten a few ideas off of PBSkids, but with an expected turnout of over 100 girls, it's not enough. Already we have a game where you blow a penny across a table into a hole. First one wins. Then theres a challenge to the other troops to build an air-powered vehicle out of paper, straws, tape, and life savers. Next is a race with a balloon taped to a straw, and with a string through the straw, the race is on. We'll make pinwheels, kites, and mini-copters, but we're out of brain power.

    Any other ideas??

  • Is it true that dogs get bad feelings about people??

We moved into a new home 6 months ago. At first, our 1 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Oliver, barked at everybody that walked by our house. He sits up in the window & watches, & now that he's gotten to know people, he barks occasionally, except for one neighbor.

When this older man walks by the house, Oliver barks constantly, growls, and his hair stands up. When I step outside the house and this man walks by, Oliver runs to the fence barking and growling. Oliver will even be sleeping in the living room, and it's almost like he can sense this man outside, because he'll run to the window barking. THIS IS THE ONLY PERSON HE DOES THIS TOO!! Strangers come to the door and he doesn't act like this.

My husband wants to get a shock collar to curb him of this barking, but my gut says he's trying to tell me something. Is Oliver sensing something bad, or is it that he just doesn't like him?

  • Am I crazy for smoking outside???

No lectures about the dangers of smoking please. I know the risks. Now, to details...

We moved into our new house in July, & I vowed when we left our old house that I wouldn't smoke in the new one. I got tired of washing walls & furniture, my kids' clothes always stunk, and everything turned yellow.

It's winter, now, and I stand outside in 15 degree weather to have a smoke. I know it's better for my kids, and I smoke a LOT less than I used to, but am I INSANE for doing this, or do other smokers do this too? I know my sister in law does, but does anyone else???
