Most of the pizza places where we lived in Canada (we are in the US now) would have assumed you meant ham. We ran into that kind of thing here in the south - I would ask for tea and they would bring ice tea. I had to speicify hot tea. To me bar-be-que is the thing you cook food on outside (a grill) and not a style of food. The guy at Home Depot thought I was quite mad when I asked to the see the bbq's. :-D
