  • What is the name of the song that thanks the person who let the driver in on the freeway?

It is from maybe the late 90's or early 00's. It was played a lot on the alternative WFNX station in Boston, I think. It is very repetitive and goes something like, "I want to say thank you the person who let me in on the freeway." (Or highway? I can't remember.)

It kind of sounds like Ween or a similar higher-pitched sounding band (again, if I can remember correctly.)

  • GSN Family Feud Commercial Song?

Anyone know what the song is in the background of the new Family Feud commercial on GSN? The male singer/band has an indie sound and the lyrics are something like:

"We're all brothers and we're all sisters, we're all family and we're all welcome."

  • Icelandic music video with teens stealing alcohol and carjacking?

I was recently in Iceland and watched Nova TV (music videos) and I am trying to find a video online that I saw on tv. It starts with a closeup of a teen's face that is bleeding. It follows three teens (two boys, one girl) through a whole night of stealing. The girl steals alcohol from a bartender, they rob a convenience store, they carjack a man in a parking lot. The kid end up being betrayed and beaten by the other teen. Then, at the end of the video, the guy they carjacked is the one that helps the kid who is hurt from the first shot of the video. I know this is a longshot, but anyone from Iceland know what video I'm talking about?

  • Why am I getting leg, hand, and arm swelling and throbbing?

I have had lower leg swelling, primarily left leg, for about a year. On Friday night, it was swollen and has deep throbbing sensation in shin. As the night progressed, the skin covering the veins on top of my hands became puffy. So much so that overnight, some of the dry skin on my left knuckles split open. But then yesterday, things subsided to a manageable level. And then last night, they started all over again and included throbbing behind my elbows. This morning, my right hand is swollen (skin over veins and the fingers) and tight and hasn't subsided since getting out of bed.

Of course, an internet search for symptoms can make you crazy and freaked out. I'm in a moderate amount of discomfort, but not in severe pain. I don't know if I should go to the ER or try to wait until I can see my student health clinic. (Both are not ideal options for me.)

I guess I'd like to know what this might be? Would deep vein thrombosis in leg cause these other areas to swell and throb? Is it something else?

  • Advice on driving up steep curving hill in an automatic?

My friend lives on a road that is nasty to drive up during the winter. Not only is it particularly steep, but just as the hill starts to incline there is a sharp curve to the left. I have an automatic Toyota Corolla and have been unable to get up the hill at all on a couple of occasions.

Any advice on the best way to gain traction while getting up the hill? I've read to take the car out of overdrive and downshift manually might help.

    Thanks!

  • What could cause belly button discomfort?

About 4 years ago, I had gallbladder surgery. There was an incision through my belly button and ever since, my belly button has felt extremely sensitive. I cannot touch it... it feels like a ticklish discomfort bordering on painful. (Similar to having a pap smear or throat culture... it doesn't hurt, just uncomfortable and weird feeling.) However, in the past few weeks, it has started to feel this discomfort without being touched. It feels like the discomfort is coming from the inside out. I feel like I want to hold a pillow over my stomach when I'm sleeping because it feels like it needs support. There is no bulging or anything. Nothing looks strange. Just this horrible feeling which seems to be more frequent. HELP?

  • Trying to find a video dance piece I saw a long time ago where all the men danced on one leg?

I saw a dance video a while back (I think it was from the 1980's) that featured a cast of all male dancers who danced for about 7 or 8 minutes... all on one leg! I thought it was either Ailey or Garth Fagan, but I can't find it online anywhere. I remember the interview with a dancer or possibly the choreographer saying that the dance was somewhat based on a form of martial arts. It's a very athletic piece but is also very funny. Any clue of what this video was?

  • What Kate Nash album is the hidden track "Little Red" found on?

I can't find it anywhere online to download. The only Kate Nash album available on iTunes is "Made of Bricks" and it is not on there. So, I'm thinking it is either only available on a limited edition or UK edition CD or something. Any help/info?

  • How well does laser hair removal work?

I am considering laser hair removal but I have heard varying reviews about it. I know I am a candidate based on my light skin and dark hair, so my only real concern is shelling out a ton of money for something that either doesn't work since my hair growth is due to hormone issues or that actually makes things worse somehow.

Has anyone had it for unwanted hair due to hormone issues and/or birth control pill reactions? Is it permanent (or, at least "permanent" enough to justify the cost?) Does it at least slow down the hair growth? Has anyone had any of the side effects... skin pigment changing, increased hair growth, lack of any change at all?

  • Why does my cat seem to like to "floss" with my hair?

My cat LOVES to get up on the sofa behind me and sort of "flosses" with my hair. She doesn't chomp on it really... instead she runs her teeth through it (often digging into my scalp!) and then shakes her head to loosen the hair from her teeth (which usually results in cat saliva flying in every direction.)

I usually reach back and rub her tummy, which usually gets her to stop doing it. I am just curious why she is doing this! I've read other questions about cats chewing on human hair, but this just sounds different.

  • Are there any good hypnotherapy training programs in the US?

I have had enormous personal success with Hypnotherapy and would like to enroll in a training program. This has proven to be enormously confusing and frustrating trying to find credible programs. It seems like there are about three or four organizations that back up training programs - National Guild of Hypnotist Examiners, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and a couple others - but they all seem to be associated with and/or founded by a person who started their own type of hypnotherapy. How is this credible? What is to stop me from creating my own style of hypnotherapy and then forming a "society" of members and defining what criteria they must meet to be part of the society? On the flip-side, many hypnotherapy programs also seem to be focused on things that seem shady to me (stage techniques, buy these CD's) or extremely spiritual (ie past-life regressions, New Age transformations.) Are there any therapy-based, non-gimmick hypnotherapy training programs in the US?

  • What song is in the commercial with the house unfilling with the girl's tears?

I think the commercial was for Fuse (or maybe Zune) and it showed a house unfilling with tears and then panned up to show a girl who had been crying. The lyrics I remember are something like "what you liked, you'll like again."
