Any ideas what is causing this? It's the Vivendi (former Sierra) version from 2001 or 02, and works fine on my old XP computer. There is a patch they released for some minor glitches, also works on XP, but my newer Dell with Vista just shuts it down.

Any advice on what is going on would be appreciated!

This is mainly for Democrats voting in primaries. My primary (Illinois) is coming up soon, and was wondering what others thought about this.

I'm thinking Clinton. I LIKE Obama better -- he's more personable (or seems so), but i think Clinton is better able to handle the job.

Dream team -- i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Clinton Pres, and Obama, VP, then have him move into the Pres position after getting some more DC years under his belt.

What do you think?

When i go into a store to buy clothing, i'm one size. But if i take my measurements and look at the sizes on sewing patterns, i'm coming up 5 sizes BIGGER... that's 10 whole numbers! It's insane!! Why would this happen? I've checked and double checked, both my measurements and the patterns.

I'm watching a TV show, and some people describe their style as "chillidisiac" (pronounced chill-a-dee-zhiac).

What do they mean?

I personally LIKE foie gras but gave it up several years ago once i found out how it was produced (same with veal). The practice of force feeding ANYTHING is abhorrent.

But equally abhorrent is passing a law that outlines what i can or can't order in a restaurant.

Hi -- just within the last couple of weeks, when i'm playing a game on my computer, the graphics get draggy and jerky -- gives me a headache. They used to be smooth (like a movie). What causes this?

I checked with the games' manufacturers and they say "update direct X" which i did, and this didn't fix it.

I checked with my computer mfr and they were NO help whatsoever. I've also tried uninstalling and re-installing the games (Hobbit, Fame, & Narnia in particular, but also Escala solitare and the Windows solitare).

I have a Dell inspiron 9100 with XP, pentium 4 and lots of RAM.

Sometimes if i reboot several times, it will be okay for a while, but eventually starts jerking again.

Hello, i'm reading Natalie Cole's autobiography "Angels on my Shoulder" -- and she's talking about her drug addiction problems, acid, herion and something she calls "window pane." I can find nothing about this anywhere! This would have taken place in the 1970's.

Anyone know what she is refering to? The drug? or what she means. Is it slang for something (like "angel dust" for PCP). Thanks.

Here in Chicago we have a lot of people who have Humvees. Why? They are expensive, huge, suck up a LOT of gas, are difficult to park and are extremely wide and stinky in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

I heard somewhere that video games can ruin flat screen tv's -- burns images into them or something. Do any of you know if this is true? If i let my niece play games on my TV for the 2 weeks she is visiting, will it ruin it?

My cat likes any type of adhesive -- she will go through my desk and find my bills and chew and lick stamps, envelopes, return labels, anything with adhesives. When the mail comes i have to be sure to get rid of all the open envelpes or she will try to lick the glue. Why does she do this?

I have 2 out of print cassette tapes that i'd like to preserve on CD and transfer to my MP3 player. (I've tried to get CDs but they don't exist.) What program and/or equipment do you recommend that you have used? Thanks.

I have a 1990 Buick Park Avenue. It runs well, but i only drive it locally (to the market etc). If i take it out on the highway and go past 55 mph, i feel a slight shudder through the steering wheel. What could be the possible problem?

My cousin had said she was gay, and dated women, but recently she moved home and started dating men. I'm worried that she is doing this to please her mom. While i realize it is not my business, i love her and she is a good friend and i want her to be happy. What can i do? Is there anything i can do? Should i just stay quiet and mind my business? Currently she is on anti-depressants and in therapy for depression, so i'm worried about her not making resonable decisions. :O(
