  • Northern White Rhino Population?

I've followed this highly endangered fellow animal's plight for several years, ever since I read Douglas Adams' and Mark Carwardine's fantastic book, "Last Chance To See".

I was very shocked to read, here - http://www.savetherhino.org/etargetsrinm/site/1/de... in the left hand column, of "the last surviving four Northern white rhinos"? Is this just poorly worded journalism? Because it says here - http://www.savetherhino.org/eTargetSRINM/site/654/... that there were 22 Northern White Rhinos in 2005?

Can anyone here quote me a true, up-to-date population figure of the Northern White Rhino? Further info would be much appreciated, too.

  • What is the song over the credits of "Extras"?

Can you tell me what song plays over the credits of Ricky Gervais' BBC series, "Extras"? It's a beautiful song, and I'd love to know what it's called and who sings and wrote it?

  • When customising my 360 theme - how do I get different coloured boxes and borders?

Okay ... I've uploaded my own "background image tile", but now all my balloon/module/box backgrounds and borders are plain white.

After a LOT of searching, I discovered this info -

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/profile/profi...

    - which explains exactly what each part of the 360 page is called, and that you can change the colours by entering "color hex values" in the "Customise My Theme" boxes ... but how can we find out the hex values for the colours we want?

Does anyone know of a chart, Yahoo or otherwise, which explains the hex values for colours, so that we can choose them and enter them into our "Customise My Theme" boxes?

Alternately, are you 360-savvy enough to tell me how to change the colours of my windows/boxes and borders to my colour of choice?

Look forward to hearing from you ... and look forward to your ten points if you can help me ... :-)

  • Removing cheese sauce smell?

Does anyone know how to remove the stinky smell of cheese sauce from a couch? We spilt pasta with cheese sauce, and it's soaked through to the foam underneath, and we haven't succeeded in removing the smell yet! Any remedies, preferably non-chemical, to remove this yucky smell, would be really, really appreciated ... ?

Very best to you, and ten points to the best answer!

  • My emails don't reach her because she never confirmed her email address :-( ?

I received a friendly email from a Yahoo Answers member, asking me a question about one of my previous answers. I really want to contact her, but when I try to email her, I get an error message - "Oops! Your email did not go through because the recipient's email address has not been confirmed." When I click onto her personal info, she has no 360 page, no other way of contacting her. What can I do? She'll think I just ignored her! And I want to reply to her! It's a problem.

Yahoo, maybe you could notify people who continue to actively participate here on Answers and who haven't confirmed their emails? Maybe they don't even realise, and you could periodically notify them that others' emails are not getting through to them because they haven't confirmed their emails yet?

    Cheers!

  • "We are stardust"?

This is a very popular modern-day saying - for example -

Carl Sagan - "We are starstuff pondering the stars" - from the concluding page of his book, "Cosmos".

Joni Mitchell - "We are stardust ... we are billion year old carbon".

My question - who is the earliest scientist/philosopher who you know to have recognised the truth of this and said this? I'm trying to trace this idea back to the first person to have made this "stardust/starstuff/humans are carbon forged in stars" connection?

    Look forward to your replies!

  • "Chase you down the winds of time" ...?

I'm looking for the poem that contains these words - "I'll chase you down the winds of time" ? I distinctly remember reading this full line in an old poem, possibly from the nineteenth century, and now I'm trying to locate what the original poem was. Anyone able to help? If you know where this line is from, you'll earn ten points, as well as truly making my day !

  • Domestic pigs to razorbacks?

Apparently, when placid, nervous, bare-skinned, pink domestic pigs are released or escape into the wild, after just one or two generations, they mutate into the extremely aggressive, hairy, tusked, different-coloured 'razorback' pigs - firstly, is this true? And secondly, this is hard evidence of the reality of evolution, yes?

  • Rudyard Kipling? Or another poet?

I'm trying to discover who wrote this poem - the idea of it remains with me, but I can't even recall the exact wording. It had a strong pacifist leaning, I think it was referring to the Boer war, and the final lines were along the gist of, "it doesn't matter if they are in the right and we are in the wrong - we have the mach gun and they do not". It was extremely poignant and critical of the 'empire' - do you know a poem like this? Was it Rudyard Kipling? Or someone else? If you know the name of this poem, you'll make my day!

  • Can't select my 360 account in my profile here?

I've been signed up here at Yahoo Answers for about a week now, and I created my own page and account at Yahoo 360 yesterday ... yet, when I go into Answers "Edit my info" or "add details", the button beside "Get my Yahoo 360 account" remains greyed and I can't select it! How can I fix this, so that people can see my 360 link when they look at my profile here?

  • Yahoo Avatar pets - I want rabbits!?

Why does Yahoo's Avatars - great fun, by the way, and gorgeous - have a large pet section, even including snakes, rats, monkeys, frogs, and squirrels, but there is no choice of rabbits? I want a bunny rabbit - who make amazing and very affectionate and close companions, by the way - beside me in my Avatar!
