Removing cheese sauce smell?

Does anyone know how to remove the stinky smell of cheese sauce from a couch? We spilt pasta with cheese sauce, and it's soaked through to the foam underneath, and we haven't succeeded in removing the smell yet! Any remedies, preferably non-chemical, to remove this yucky smell, would be really, really appreciated ... ?

Very best to you, and ten points to the best answer!

After you clean the stain up try using vinegar (white) it usually takes the smell out of anything. Good Luck

Yikes, that's rough! Can you wash the outer covering and replace the foam cushion? Or use Febreeze fabric spray, that usually gets smells out and leaves a fresh scent. Good luck!

You will probably have to use chemicles. Try either woolite, or some of the cleaners that they have for pet messes. You put them on, (usually foamy), let them soak in, and then vacuum them out. I have not used them for specifically cheese sauce, but if they work for pet stains and such, I think it will work for you. If that doesnt work, you can call and have someone come out for apholstry cleaning. (Sorry I cant spell)

id say just sell the couch to some unsuspecting poor college student. I am sure they won't mind...I really think you are just SOL on that one.
