Regardless of antivirus software & firewall I am certain my comuter is being acessed remotely is there any relatively simple way to prevent remote acess on xp?

I am a new pool owner and when I have ran filter the pool looks worse. I began researching and the term backwash valve came up but it doesn't read on or off. It turns slightly but I'm not sure which mode its in?Backwashing or filtrating! Will the pool vacuum work in either mode? I am unsure what signs to look for and it sucks to have a pool thats dirty! thanks for your help

In small claims court in california is there a mandatory timeline that cases must be decided in! or can a judge take as long as he wants to render a decision?What can i do if its been a substantial amount of time and the judge still hasn't rendered a decision what course of action can i take? this is an appeal situation as well. what if this time the court rules in the defendants favor is there any further action i can take?

We recently were awarded a judgement againist a company in los angeles county. The person named as the defendant didn't show up to the court date but sent a representative of the company. After the judgement in our favor they then filed an appeal and hired an attorney to represent them. once again the defendant did not show up but a representative for his company was present along side the attorney. the attorney began to question the plantiff a family member of mine. he said i couldn't stand next to her because i wasn't an attorney.even though in the previous case i was allowed. Anytime she began to respond to a question the attorney would object and would look over and be very loud and argumentitive however because she isnt an attorney she wasn't allowed to object to anything he stated and was badgered by this attorney. i was under the impression that small claims meant self representation and that attorneys weren't allowed primarily for this reason. if we lose do we have any options

I had a little fall recently and the doctor says i absolutely must have surgery but my elbow doesn't even hurt at all! is this strange the only pain i had after falling was at the wrist which was sprained but my elbow never hurt there was no swelling or bruising. Hes really insistant that i need to have a prostesis put in, this seems drastic.Cut open my arm, cut off part of the bone, glue this thing in and stitch it up,He must be kidding, Is this possible? He's very insistant but i'm am very logical and i'm not seeing the logic, I obviously am not a doctor but could anyone please help me understand how this would be necessaryl!!! help!!!

i am wondering if anyone has ever broke there elbow if so was there pain at elbow only and was surgery suggested or done or have you been involved in a lawsuit due to surgery of the elbow

Why would a fractured elbow require surgery. my doc wants to put a prosthesis in at the elbow but its a lil fracture and i think this sounds ridiculous. has anyone ever fractured there elbow and had surgery or elected not to ? is a prosthesis better in the long run? what if i elect not to will i be disabled somehow?
