Our son will be promoted to grade 7 soon and we are trying to make up our mind where to send him for junior high. I want him to go to a private school that he attended for Kindergarten and grade 1. My son wants to attend the one and only Middle School in our little town. Students from eight feeder schools will attend this school, including most of his classmates. He just turned 12 and made such close friendships with almost his classmates. His wish to go to this school is so great that I am afraid that if I force him to go to the private school, I might not be doing the right thing for him. I don't know what to do.

My child started 5th grade in a new school. When he first started, his Math teacher did an assessment test with all the kids, in which my child scored highest. We only found out about it at the open house that the school conducted. e asked the teacher why our son wasn't placed in the enrichment class... in the meantime kids who were placed in the enrichment class were dropping out, because the teacher seems to be mentally abusive. When our son was finally placed in his class, we encouraged our son to at least try. Math is our son's favorite subject ever since he started Kindergarten, but after only four times attending this teacher's class, his enthusiasm for Math is decreasing. Today for example, my son said that he gave his paper to the teacher, but the teacher wouldn't take it. This confused him right there... then the kids started shouting to him that he didn't put down the paper the right away- not the exact way the teacher wants it to be given to him.

How long am I supposed to leave a lamp on above the chicks to keep them warm? How many hours...days... weeks?

My two button quails have 10 chicks- ..... by the way isn't it awesome that their first batch of eggs hatched without incubator? We are all so excited. .... and although the dad seemed to be helpful with keeping them warm, he also caused the mommy quail to jump away from the chicks a lot, because he constantly tried to hump her. He also kept deliberately stepping on her and the chicks. I finally separated the chicks and the mom from the dad. The lamp seems to make them not harrass their mom all the time anymore, but I want to keep her with them for a little while. So, when is it okay to have the chicks roam around without a lamp on above them?

For my mental health....I need some encouragement people...because it's now 2500 points to the next level! Be nice or don't say nothin' at all.
