I am aware that stereotyping is impolite and I dislike doing it but I have only heard the stereotypes of Italians. I would like to know what American, Canadian-Born Italians with Italy-Born Italian parents are like as adults. Especially the men. It is my understanding they grow up "Mama's-Boys", expect to have women take care of them and are superficial among, among several other things. Any experiences, Italian perspectives, websites, dating advice, stereotype clarifications, things that go unnoticed, etc would be GREAT. Thank you very much :)

I am seeking means to attend college and was told that if I live on my own I can apply for social assistance. I live in Alberta Canada. I am curious as to what it is, how it works and where to get more information on it. I do not want to be on welfare and will work withot attending school if thats what it is, so if social assistance is anything like welfare thank you anyways for the answers.

As a woman I love it when a man brings me daisies, or when I see a playful puppy... things like this cloud my rationality and bring down my guard. What are some things, as a woman, that make you feel the same. Anything. No matter how strange, unusual, cliche, whatever.

Where do I go to get my license to marry others? I live in Alberta outside of Edmonton, and would prefer to get my license online... I am unsure as to what government sites provide this information, if any. How much something like that would cost, etc. Any information would be useful. The more the better. Thank you.

I have my mother, father, brother and my wife has her mother, father, step father, two brothers, sister and then our nieces and nephews and cousins and on and on and on. Were a close family so if you buy for one its buy for all because its only fair. I love the idea of gift baskets but I HATE the idea of cookies and soap and all that boring rudimentary stuff! I am looking for a weekend photography class. One where I can bring in a digital camera or be shown on one in the class. I have an interest in photography and want to start somewhere but live an hour from Edmonton. It has to be on the weekends. Thank you.

Do you (girls) actually think that Valentine's Day is about presents? Guys... do you actually think your significant other will love you more if you celebrate this "Holiday" by buying her things?

Just a general question.... curious as to who thinks Valentines day is really all its kicked up to be.... and dont get me wrong, I think its nice to have nice things given to you out of love once and a while ... but on a day where there is pressure and media telling you to do so?

Why do people (not all people) push their faith on others. If everyone beleived in the same god or gods or if everyone had the samae religous beleifs their would be no such thing as individuality. Why when someone asks a simple question a Christian will turn to you and say "Just look to God for answers" I mean who says that person asking the question is Christian. who says they aren't of a different faith if of any at that. Why do certain religous groups say being open minded and forgiving and understanding is a way of life and yet they do not accept others fully if they are of a different faith or worse..of none? Who are you to judge, nobody should judge anyone but themselves.

Where in the city can I go with my bf or just friends and do fun things that aren't like way expensive. I find when I go out and do things for just the day I end up spending like between 100-200$ and I cant afford doing recreational or fun things if thats the case.

Any ideas?

So (this is entirely in detial, the just of it is sufficient) I've been "dating" this guy for roughly a month give or take the time we talked before hand. He likes to move things quickly. I don't. I am under the impression that he wants this 'relationship' to become a serious thing quickly. I don't think it should because I think it hasn't been long enough. What is a common amount of time passed in a 'relationship' before it is taken seriously? I'm just looking for general answers, comments, etc. Appreciated. Thanks.
