  • Refinancing and combining 1st and 2nd mortgages...but my house is worth less than I owe...am I totally stuck?

I have a 1st mortgage at 6.5% and a 2nd mortgage at 8.25%. The first is an interest only, the 2nd is a traditional loan. I want to combine the two and hope to make lower payments and have more go towards the principal. Even though the 2nd loan is supposed to be a traditional home equity loan, almost always it goes towards the interest. But I don't think that's my biggest problem. My biggest problem is like many today...my house is worth way less than what I paid. I heard I can't refinance when this happens...is this true? Do I have any options available to me, or must I wait and hope that someday the home values go back up again?

  • Is God actually scared of Man???

In Genesis, when you read the story of the Tower of Babel, It tells of how all the world got together for one purpose, and God scattered us all into separate nations. Why did he do that?

"And the Lord said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them." Genesis 11:6

A quote from God's own mouth. Wouldn't that mean that we could be more powerful than God if we all worked together at it?

  • Brand New Price-Pfister bath fixture leaks every 10 seconds..?

I had a brand new Price-Pfister tub and shower set installed recently. Shortly after installation, it began to drip from the tub spout. The plumbing behind the walls checks out ok. I inspected the cartridge and replaced all of the gaskets and o-rings I could find. After slathering everything with waterproof grease, I put it back together, and the tub spout still leaked.

Here's the funny part though, the leak itself acts like it is timed. After running water into the tub I would shut it off, and nothing would leak. Then 10 seconds later, the tub spout would leak water. After a while, it would trail off and stop. Then another 10 seconds later, the leak would begin again, and it would keep going on and off with that 10 seconds in between leaks.

There is nothing else in my house using water at the time. As far as I know, the pressure from my city water is constant. No other fixtures are behaving like this. What could possibly be causing this?

  • Is there a home hardware router out there that supports PXE booting?

I have a hardware router that I use to connect all my PCs to the internet. Lately, I've had the desire to start using PXE to re-install the OS on some of my machines. I had been looking to upgrade my router to a unit that supports gigabit Ethernet, so I'm in the market for a new router. I'd rather not put a DHCP server on a PC when the router will do the job just fine. When I upgrade to Gigabit, I want to upgrade to PXE too, if I can. Are there any router brands/models out there that will do this?
