  • How can you stop family who are health care workers from reading your chart in the hospital?

My father took about 3 weeks to die in a hospital after

aspirating during his recovery a few days after a successful surgery. He ended up going into complete organ failure. The majority of our family and friends are doctors. Every time someone visited they would read the chart and check all the vitals and come out with defeated faces and basically telling us he s a goner before our doctors did. Our own doctors I m sure were thinking the same but couldn t let that show until the end. It was really crappy.

Fast forward I m married and far from my family but my hubby s bro is a PA and sort of tries to act like a doctor. He is constantly questioning board certified physicians my inlaws see and they Change whole courses of action based on his advice.

I don t want his advice at all about any medical problem that may be going on with my children. What is a polite way to deal? Is it necessary that I must disclose medical info about kids to my inlaws at all? I don t feel it is their business. While they are nice people, their disposition is generally negative and fearful.

  • What is the age of responsibility in new york state?

I know a woman who has a misfit daughter living with her who is 20 years old. We live in an affluent area and this girl is not learning disabled. She just does not have good decision making skills. she has still not recieved her high school diploma, does not get a job and has no goals. She just goes out parties and keeps her room like a pigsty.

This woman is trying to convince me that parents are legally responsible for children until 21. Now i think this is wrong but is there some scenario where parents are legally responsible for children over 18 years old.

  • Christian Psychic what do you think?

Ok , I am admittedly new to prayer groups. I belong to a mainline Christian church. There is a new worship and praise group. A woman in the group is always getting these messages or visions. I really have only experienced this when a girlfriend dragged me to a " psychics house". The others seem to think this is perfectly natural. What do you think? Is this a gift.

  • What things do Catholics and Protestants have in common?

I got married to a man who comes from a catholic family but he himself does not follow the religion and hasn't for over 2,decades. Before we married we discussed how to bring up kids. I belong to mainline Protestant church and it is important to me . We agreed that kids would be brought in my faith no arguments about it. He just wanted kids to go to church because of values and said if I decided that I didn' want to go he would like kids to go with his parents so they would have that influence. In the end he feels they will make a decision when they grow up if they wan to go. Right now my kids are getting bigger and although my in laws don't try to convert us they do talk about catholic teachings that are not only not taught in our church but are serious points of contention. I don't want to tell my kids their gp's are wrong. But if they mention it at our church they will surely be told by someone it is not really true. What are something's I can say and maybe topics that are agreed upon besides the trinity if any. I

I'm not debating who is right here. Everybody has to do their homework and make the right decision. This maybe the opposite problem for you. I just want to know how to deal respectfully.

  • Is this rude to talk about in front of others?

I was with a group of people recently from my church. I see them often but I wouldn't say we were best friends or anything. It was a group of four and me. We were doing bible study group at one persons house from this group. One person from this group was throwing a party to watch a game in there home. They all began to talk about how much fun they were going to have at this party but

not once asked me if I would like to come. Does anyone find this rude? I'm not a child I understand you don't get invited to everything but i also feel it is rude to sit and talk about an upcoming festivity in front of someone when they are the only one invited.

  • Lying about school district?

I have a friend who is lying about his brother to put him in a school district. The boy was being bullied in his school but the principal wouldn't do anything about it. It was starting to get physical and the child was terrified to go to school. The school district wouldn't let the boy change to another school in he district so his parents pulled him out. His older brother lives in a better school district so the boys parents had signed over guardianship to him and completed all necessary paperwork to go to school. The boy still lives with his parents but goes to the new district. How much trouble can the older brother get in trouble for this ? What is the penalty? The older brother is aside from this scenario a law abiding tax paying citizen. Where can you find out what the penAlty is?

  • what is the deal with rates to join a jewish synogogue or temple?

I opened my local penneysaver to see an add for a local jewish temple and while it was trying to get people to come because they claim to be open minded and excepting it also mentioned something about rates. Does this mean people are only welcome to these congregations if they have money and if they dont they are turned away?

  • Question about anullment?

Absolutely have no respect for this practice in the Catholic Church? Beyond that just wondering if you believe in God and that he looks over us and knows everything that is going on why on earth would you believe that a man made "loophole" to getting out of marriage?Jesus allows for divorce in the bible in case of adultery they have set up rules for this already. Is there something in the Catholic Bible that talks about anullment. If any is there a direct biblical basis for this practice?
