DVD crashes in regular player, but runs smoothly on PS3. Any idea why?
I tried to play the Harry Potter 7.1 dvd but it froze when it's supposed to go to the country selection screen. So I put it in my PS3 and it ran fine. I tried another dvd in my regular dvd player and it ran fine. The extras dvd of HP started to run fine, but then froze every time it was supposed to go back to the main menu after each feature. Again no problem with the PS3. So, are some new dvd's not compatible with older dvd players?

I was talking about a book with a friend the other day who can't remember the title or even who wrote it. It was about this kid who lived in a house and there were fairies or something in the house. But they were not nice fairies and one in particular used to come out of the wallpaper and be generally nasty. There was like another world in the walls. She remembered one scene where the "fairy" came out at night (always at night) and he used to go through the fridge and lick everything that was in there. If she remembers right, the kid ended up in the walls and had to get out. She thinks the nasty fairy was his brother of something. Any ideas?

I'm looking for movies with characters and backgrounds that look as realistic as possible; nothing cartoonish like the Pixar and Dreamworks ones. The two "Final Fantasy" movies are the only ones I can think up, but "Appleseed" comes close only the characters themselves are still traditional 2D anime.
