Hi! I'm Ilana and I'm loud, quirky, and I remember everything. I love to write and read and cook, and I'm a total nerd. I like to play with babies and baby animals. Oh, I like researching stuff and answering questions, too :)

  • Magic Kingdom or Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure?

I'm going to Orlando for a day. Considering both parks are just about equally priced, which is the better option for someone hoping to not spend too much money, doesn't like huge roller coasters and likes both princesses and Harry Potter?! Any input is welcome; a decision needs to be made by tonight.

  • Am I on track to getting into Brown University?

Hi, everybody. I'm a rising sophomore at a high-ranking high school and Brown has been my dream school for years. I have this feeling inside that I belong there (I'm going later this year, too. Very exciting!) Anyway, I wanted to know if my credentials at this point would get me into Brown.

    I've taken :

    -Algebra 1 Honors

    -Geometry Honors

    -Integrated Science Honors

    -Biology Honors

    -Spanish 1

    -Spanish 2

    -English 1 Pre-AP

-AP Human Geography (predicted score of 5, will get my score in about two weeks)

    -Speech

    -Health/PhysEd

I earned A's in all of these classes, with an unweighted GPA of 4.0 and weighted (HPA) 4.5. I plan on taking at least 10 APs (including Human Geo, World History, European History, US History, Government, Macroeconomics, English Language, English Literature, Spanish Language, and Calculus AB, possibly Art History, Microeconomics, Spanish Literature, Calculus BC, Environmental Science, Physics, or Chemistry) and the rest of my classes will be honors level or higher.

I received high scores on my PSATs, am in the top five percent of my class of 700, am involved in my school's academic games team, our newspaper (as an editor), speech and debate team, and Jewish Forum. A friend and I are trying to create a Model UN branch at our school, as well. I have received numerous awards (Spanish language, biology, highest possible HPA for course load) and I'll be on National Honor Society (was previously on NJHS), Spanish Honor Society, Honor Roll and possibly "top ten". I love writing, reading, cooking, talking, and kids - I babysit and tutor. I actively volunteer at our local YMCA as well as at a JCC, a library, and an adult day care. As soon as I'm old enough, I'll be volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, too.

In terms of my future, I plan to study international relations and anthropology and end up in the United Nations or UNESCO. It's kind of my biggest goal/dream in life to change the world and help create world peace. Trust me, I know it's corny.

I know I have a few years until I need to start seriously considering schools, but please let me know if, at this point, I'm good enough to get me in! Also, feel more than free to make any suggestions! Thanks so much :)

  • Should I get the iPhone 4 in 16 GB or 32 GB?

I'm a first time iPhone buyer (although I am very familiar with them - family and friends have) and I'd like to buy the new iPhone on the release date so as to pay either $199 or $299 respectively. If I were to have this phone for two years and have at least 700 songs plus apps, phone, many pictures and large text message banks, which size would be best to buy? Thanks!

8:00 PM: dinner roll with butter; tossed salad with raisins and balsamic vinaigrette

11:30 AM: 1/2 mile walk back to hotel

12:30 PM: walked through museum for about 4 hours

7:00 PM: 1 cup Sprite; 6 cups water with lemon through dinner; 1 bread slice (restaurant wedged bread- little chunk slice) with olive oil, oregano and basil

7:15 PM: small side salad with balsamic vinaigrette, 1 cup baked ziti

  • Eyeliner???

I normally use black/brown Estee Lauder pencil eyeliner on my bottom lid only, but I need

    1. A better eyeliner

    2. A technique to get top and bottom of the eye

    3. That is painless...

    4. And makes my eyes (light brown, indigo rim) pop against my pale, rosy skin...

    5. Complementing makeup...

Thanks!! Anything will be appreciated, but if you get all of these and pics/links/videos, that'd be great! <3
