  • Tracking an anonymous stalker on tagged.com?

My mom is a member, and once she started dating this guy she met on there, the "question" section on her page started filling up with creepy messages about the two of them from someone who doesn't have a tagged account. At first we had our suspicions as to who it might be, but I'm starting to question that theory since we're now also getting phonecalls at all hours of the night from someone who hangs up as soon as we answer. The person we assumed it to be is a man, and tonight I answered one of the calls and faintly heard a woman's voice before they hung up. So, is there a way to track this person down with no name and no email address to work with?

  • What is the correct way to say 14, 17, 19, etc. in Japanese?

I'm a little confused since there are two different ways of saying 4, 7 and 9, as to which is the preferred way. Are both acceptable? If so, how do you determine when to use which?

  • Can anyone recommend a good kanji dictionary for a beginner?

I live in a very small town, and extensive searching has led me to the sad conclusion that there are no Japanese language classes anywhere nearby. So, I'm trying to teach myself via online videos and thus far really only know how to say "Hello, I'm____" and a few other basic phrases. I really don't want to be stuck knowing only the romanized way of writing things, so I need the sort of dictionary that would be most helpful for someone going in essentially clueless.

  • I need some help with the grammar of this sentence?

We're very proud of her for both her accomplishments in and outside of church, and for becoming an honor graduate.

We're very proud of her both for her accomplishments in and outside of church, and for becoming an honor graduate.

Which way is correct? Should I drop that second "for" altogether?

  • Can anyone link me to any leash or at-large laws regarding cats in Georgia?

Long story short, our neighbors have a dog who is about as long as I am tall, and he's VERY aggressive when the owners aren't looking. When mom and I take our walks, if he notices us, he'll advance while stomping and growling, and he's done the same thing to my uncle when he walks over to visit mom. We've had problems with garbage being dragged out of the can on our front porch, and the other day dad was almost attacked while mowing our lawn. Today, my cat was on the back porch and the dog ran over here and cornered her, so, as she's done several times over since these people moved in, mom called the pound (which means he'll spend a couple days on a chain, WITHOUT shelter, because these people are idiots, before being let loose again), and the officer who came out basically ignored all the other complaints raised in favor of repeatedly stating that we were breaking the law by allowing our cat outside unsupervised. So, being as we were unaware of any such law existing, how illegal was it for her to be on the porch without us?

  • I know "auf wiedersehen" means "goodbye", but is there another translation?

For example, I was randomly researching words and origins earlier, because it suddenly hit me that most of the words for "Monday" mean "moonday", which brought me to looking up the origins for the days of the week names. After that, I further tormented my poor family by researching and sharing a brief history of the English language, which brings me to "goodbye". I know it came from the phrase "God be with you", and I know how it got there. I also know that words like "adios" and "adieu" have a reference to God, so, my question is this: if you pick apart "auf wiedersehn", do the individual words have some other meaning?

  • Average amount of space between hotel beds?

I know, I know. Weird question. Humor me. Google has no answers for me and I really don't know a better place to find random trivia. (Not sure that this is really the right category, but I didn't see one for "miscellaneous junk that no one really cares about")

  • What is the hourly part-time wage for Wal-mart in Georgia?

I don't know if it varies state by state, but I do need to know if it's financially worth it to make my life even more hectic than it already is. I mean, I've got to add on a part-time somewhere, but if the place open 24/7 isn't worth it I'll have to look elsewhere and do some creative scheduling.

  • In French, how do you ask if someone speaks English?

Is "tu parles Anglais" correct? I haven't had a French lesson in ten years, so can't really remember. Also, how do you say "I only speak a little French"? I want to say "je parle un peu Français", but I'm sure I've mangled it somehow.

  • Transferring a hard drive into a different brand of computer?

My Everex laptop's motherboard is fried, but I've been told the hard drive is still intact. Now, getting another laptop (especially an Everex, since I've heard the company has moved and they must've since I can't find one) is out of the question, but the desktop I have is an HP.

I've looked up ways to transfer my files and it looks like I need some sort of adapter to install a laptop drive into a desktop, but does the different brand make it unfeasible? When I can afford another laptop, will the brand make any difference then?

  • 640x480 vs 293 kb, which is smaller?

Dumb question, probably, but a forum I'm on has as this as an avatar limit, stating you can use whichever is smaller. I have one that is 451x404, but 533 kb, and I've gotten very confused about whether it's allowed or not. I don't frequent that many forums or make that many avatars, so please pardon my ignorance.

My mom's boyfriend has an autistic fifteen-year old and has asked me to look around to see if there are websites where other autistic kids can hang out and talk. I'm looking on google, but I wanted to get recommendations.

  • Need a bit of help with research for a story and google isn't pointing me in the right direction?

I need to know the effects of bullying on HETEROsexuality. Thus far, all my links have turned up how bullying based on sexual orientation can make teens afraid to come out, which is no help at all.

What I'm looking for is more along the lines of the effects of bullying designed to make someone believe they're so boring and ugly they don't DESERVE to have sexual thoughts and feelings. One character had positive parental reinforcement of their looks, one didn't and was also physically bullied at school in addition to the mocking. How do these factors effect ssomeone's approach to relationships and intimacy? Is the character with supportive parents more likely to be able to develop the confidence to just go for it, or does lack of positive peer reinforcement always hold them back from making the first move?

  • Need advice from anyone who has experienced both English and Southern US weather

As a bred and born Georgian, who lives with no air conditioner, I'm used to surviving the summer in my tiniest shorts and tops, and wearing only slightly longer shorts and more sleeves when I go anywhere. I'm hoping (and planning) to be able to afford a trip to England in a year or so, and it has to be over summer break since I promised to take my younger sister with me if mom okays it. So, since I don't really have much in the way of "other wearther" clothing, because the winter is so short (last year, I was still roasting during the day at the end of October), I mostly have just a few thin sweaters, a couple pairs of pants and a heavy coat. What sorts of clothing would I need to feel comfortable over there? I've heard that "hot" in English weather might be chilly for anyone else.

  • So, I've decided it's about time I had an adventure, and thought about going to England

The thing is, I'm deathly afraid of flying (and heights in general). I went to see a friend in California a few years back, had the first five airplane rides of my life going out there and back to Georgia, and never got over my take-off induced panic. (I would have preferred to go by bus, but the person I was going to see bought the ticket and insisted I come by plane since it was quicker.) So, knowing that I'll never work up the nerve to fly over water without some heavy duty sedation, I've decided to go by boat. I know it's expensive, which is why I'm job-hunting. I can look up costs and everything, but what I'm looking for is information on one-way cruises that would perhaps allow me to spend a couple months over there instead of a round-trip where I have to come straight back. I was going to ask a friend of mine to join me, but she's notoriously unreliable on these kinds of things, so does anyone with a lot of travel experience know of any sort of groups I might be able to join that would be interested in doing the same thing? This is going to take me AT LEAST a year to save up for, so I've got plenty of time to do lots of research. I'm just new to anything other than being a passenger on family road-trips, and need some starting pointers.

  • Do Pilot Travel Centers pay well?

I was job-hunting and found out that one near me has openings for cashiers and coffee hosts. If the pay is good, I might apply for cashier, since I've no idea what a coffee host does. Is it just a fancy way of saying "waitress"?

  • Can someone point me to a good relationship advice board for adults?

I have a burning question that I'm way too embarrassed to ask my family or friends, because they'd never let me live it down, but I need to ask it a bit more anonymously than I feel I can on here since my sister can check these questions at anytime.
