  • Lotsofevents.com? Anyone know anything about this site/group?

Heard an ad on the radio and was wondering if anyone knows anything useful about this site? Seems like a good place to find things to do for singles without being a dating site. Anyone know cost to join? Are the "events" worth doing? Examples of events. Age range of members, etc. Any info would be appreciated since they don't tell you much on the website without signing up and having someone contact you. Much thanks for your help. :) Much :P to peeps who just post rude comments.

  • I want to divorce my husband but don't want to bankrupt him or myself. Should I just walk away?

We own a house together. He has nice car, motorcycle, decent job but both of us could only just make ends meet if we split. I want to leave him to find my soulmate, but I don't want to hurt him. He's a good guy, we just can't live together. Should I just leave it all behind. I don't want to wake up in 2 years with nothing and then regret leaving with nothing. Will karma reward me for being selfless or is it just stupid? I'm a wreck. I feel like time is running out for me and my soulmate.

  • Registered Trademark?

In a published work, when referencing a registered trademark name ( such as Microsoft Excel(r) ), do you have to put the "(r)" after EVERY mention of the word? Say you mention this same program 50 times throughout your publication, would you have to put the (r) mark after each instance?? Someone told me you only need it the first time, but I can't find any "law" either way. Thanks.

  • Anybody else hate cell phones?

WARNING: More of a rant than anything else. It's a rheotorical question and I really just want to vent.

I hate freakin' cell phones. I'm in the bathroom and I hear "Hey....hey....you there?" First, I think they're talking to me. "???" I think as I tinkle. "Hey...," they say. I'm about to answer, thinking someone needs a piece of TP or something, and then I hear "Oh, hey. Yeah, it's me. What's up." Then an entire conversation takes place in the midst of tinkles n flushing n hand washing (farting n some other obnoxious things going on, too). This isn't the first time; it's a daily occurrence. What's with that? Who is SO important that you must speak to WHILE YOU DO YOUR BUSINESS?! Not to mention the germs on ur phone. Can u say "Gross"? And what ur saying is just not THAT important. I hate hearing ur BORING A** conversations in line at Dunkin Donuts, the supermarket, the dry cleaners, etc.

Man, this question space is too small...I'll have to continue my rant in another "question"

  • How do you deal with an annoying coworker?

This woman is about 50, acts like she's 5. Talks in babytalk during her non-psychotic moments and screams like a banshee the rest of the time. She hardly works, disappears from her desk, constantly emails her husband. She has a perpetual cough and it's like she's yelling at the same time, kind of hard to describe, but really annoying. Nobody likes her, but she thinks she's queen of the office. She's like a dark could whenever she enters a room. They won't fire her, so how can I make her life miserable without getting in trouble?

  • If so many people want to immigrate to USA, why not do it legally?

(serious question...is it that difficult, or are people just not all that into being an American, just reaping the benefits of being an American?)

  • I just quit smoking; how do I not pack on the pounds?

I'm about 5'3" and weighed about 120 pounds until I quit smoking 4 weeks ago. I've gained 4-5 pounds since and feel like I'm just getting fatter. Does your metabolism eventually pick up again?

I'm trying not to eat everything in sight, trying to eat lots of fruits and veggies and just chew gum and have sensible meals (and an occasional tootsie roll or Jolly Rancher, or a pound of brownies sometimes! lol). I also started walking on a treadmill 1/2 hour to an hour 5 days a week, with situps or crunches afterwards.

What more do I have to do?! Please help!
