How do you become "unconfirmed" in the Catholic church?
Before anyone gets offended, this is a PERSONAL opinion. I don't have any problem with Catholics, as most of my family is Catholic. But in the past several years, I have come to disagree strongly with the Vatican on some issues that are really important to me.
After much thought, I wondered if I could become unconfirmed, officially. When I was in 8th grade, I got confirmed, really because my mom wanted all of us kids to do it. But now that I am grown, I have changed my mind. And I don't want to be considered just a lapsed Catholic, because that kind of implies that I just let it go for now, but will pick it back up later.
If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. And I really don't have a problem with anyone elses' religion. Like I said, this is a personal choice, and that is it. Thanks so much!
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHave you ever asked your vet for a second opinion?
And if so, how did they respond? Was it professional, or did they act offended? I am asking out of professional curiosity, because I want to make sure that I am professional if/when someone asks me for that option. Thanks!
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoTo all the pit bull haters out there...?
I just wanted to say that tonight, during 4 hours of my shift at the emergency clinic, I saw approximately 9 dogs. Of these dogs, all but 2 were small or miniature breeds. Of these small dogs, all but 1 of them were trying to bite just while being examined. Funny, the one that didn't was the one that was painful.
And the owners of all of these little dogs that tried to bite repeatedly, responded by praising their little dogs, and laughing because they were "feisty."
Why is it ok for a small dog to be nasty and ill-mannered, with an owner that rewards the bad behavior? And why is it that perfectly wonderful pit bulls are maligned at every turn, just because some of them are not socialized and taken care of?
Aggressive dogs are aggressive dogs, no matter what the size. I say that the owners should be penalized, regardless of the size of the dog.

What part of the first two paragraphs of my answer did you not understand? I gave you treatments. I'm sorry if they aren't free and ones that you can do at home. There aren't any.
You didn't bother to give enough information about your dog's condition to actually get a more specific answer, since the two types of mange are completely different. I did notice that you took the time to list the cost of the vet trip, and the fact that you waited a month to decide if it helped. I'm sure that you were supposed to return to your vet long before that. The next treatment may not cost as much, as this one probably included the exam, skin scraping, and any medications sent home.
And if you don't like my sarcasm, who cares? The point is, some of these answers are not only ill-advised, they are downright dangerous. Someone else may decide that they sound like a good idea. And Sweetie, its not you who I'm concerned about, it's your dog. Take proper care of him, its your responsibilty.
5 AnswersDogs2 decades agoIs anyone else tired of simple breeding questions?
Why is it that people will ask the most basic questions on here about dog breeding, and yet they get mad when people suggest they should already know the answer? I am tired of explaining to people that if they don't know these simple things, they shouldn't breed their animals! It seems like everyone thinks they are entitled to bring more unwanted animals into the world, just because they feel like it. I mean, pick up a frickin' book, why don't ya! It's not like this is secret information, handed down through select people for generations. I think people are just lazy, and don't want to have to do more than absolutely necessary. I see it every day, people who want someone else to validate their stupid decisions, and pay for the consequences.
And for all the people who are going to rant at me that I am mean, until you have to stick a needle into and euthanize an orphan puppy because the "owners" don't want to take care of it, you have no room to speak.
9 AnswersDogs2 decades agoquestions about golf tees?
Does anyone have any opinions on the brush type golf tees? I have trouble finding the right placement of my tees, (height), and I was wondering if these might help. I have never used them. Thanks!
