Family member terrorizing me?
I am 56 yr old woman my nephew is 44. He uses drugs and came to my home Fri. night. He acted ok for a few minutes then started screaming at me accusing me of all sorts of things none were true. You see I took care of my parents and they left a larger inheritance to me than to my brother (my nephew’s dad). They have been so angry, accusing me of manipulating my mom, which I never did. Just that she found out who was there for her and who was not. My brother and his children on came to see her near their birthdays and Christmas when they knew she would give them money. My brother still inherited a lot of land but he is not grateful for what he got rather he is furious that he did not get it all because in his mind he is the oldest and deserves everything.
My Nephew verbally abused me, I think he was going to hit me but my husband walked out asked what was going on, my nephew took off at that point still calling me vulgar names, and I ended up calling police after he left and asked what to do. They said they would have a talk with him. I don’t know if they did or not he has not been back. I feel he is dangerous because of his bad temper, drug use, and he has believed all kinds of garbage. I told him he can never come back on my property. This was a kid that spent summers with me when I was in my 20's and I took to amusement parks, zoo, etc. This breaks my heart more than imaginable. I know there will be even more hateful things spread through the family like crazy.
Is there a best way (safer way) of handling something like this?
Law Enforcement & Police9 years agoMy husband reads out loud it drives me nuts?
My husband is an adorable man, we have a good relationship. He is always on his PC and sits in the living room while I am watching TV and he reads. The problem is that he says he can only understand things if he reads out loud. After awhile it is like torture to hear him reading very fast and competing with the TV. When it goes on for hours and hours I feel like pulling my hair out. He wants to be in the same room with me, but I feel like he is rude reading out loud in the TV room. I hate to use the term 'rude' and he is very sensitive to criticism. Any reasonable suggestions?
5 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoANGELS or DECEASED LOVED ONES?
My 91 years young cousin just had emergency surgery last night for a blocked bowel. I am the nearest relative location wise. She has been seeing angels for days, said they were young children and women who come into her room then disappear.
I told the surgeon she has been seeing angels the past few days and he said, "Oh, no you are frightening me, usually when my patients begin seeing angels it is close to their time to go, usually they see children and women." I had not yet told him that the angels she was seeing was women and children, and when he said that I told him that is exactly what she described. He said, "I have had numerous times in my career when I was told by a patient that the angels are here to take me away, and I believe them."
There are some who believe this is the dying brain or medication. However she has a very sharp mind, and is not on medication, she lives alone, has had excellent health and up until 5 months ago she was still driving. Fortunately she went through the surgery very well, the bowel was not dead like the CAT scan indicated, it was blocked by scar tissue that surrounded the colon and choked it off, but when the tissue was removed the colon was still healthy and she is in pain but doing well this morning. So we are praying that her angels were just there to comfort her.
I find this subject interesting. Before my father found out he had cancer two deceased relatives appeared to him and told him he was going to die. He was not ill at the time. A few months later the cancer was discovered when a lump suddenly appeared under his arm, my dad is now deceased.
My question is this:
Do you have a personal experience of a dying loved one who saw angels or deceased loved ones before their death, or have you experienced seeing angels or deceased loved ones before the death of a relative, spouse, etc.? Please share your experiences concerning this. Thanks.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoMuslims a question please.?
As a Christian I know that Islam considers Jesus a prophet. My question is what prophecies do you believe Jesus gave?
Since Islam does say that Jesus is a prophet, what respect is given to Jesus words and deeds during his life on earth and recorded by those who were with him at the time?
I am not asking out of disrespect but out of curiosity as to what defined prophetic office you place Jesus in, and how much you defend him as a prophet and those who obey his words.
Thanks for any detail you can contribute.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoGod versus Logic…just curious?
I am seeing so much opposition over the existence of God on YA and the words “Logical” and “Illogical” are being tossed about like a hot potato in a room full of children.
Consider the following:
Logic
Requiring the process of thought in relation to other thoughts. Logic is an unseen process of a functioning brain. Logic is a product of thought and, thought being unseen, unheard, without taste, sight, or smell, is in fact incorporeal and invisible.
Thought exists as a personal experience,
God
A supreme being whose presence ‘may’ be unseen, unheard, incorporeal, and invisible whose existence is realized through the personal experience of a being.
If the invisible process of logic is used to deny the existence of anything invisible, then logic in fact fails itself.
If you believe in God you think you are logical in doing so.
If you don’t believe in God you think you are logical in doing so.
I have gotten caught up in these debates and I am open to other’s opinions as to why they have made a choice to believe in something and I am open to sharing mine.
To say I am being logical and you are being illogical is an inadequate defense. I am wondering why so many people insist upon accusing those with opposing views as lacking logic. I am not denying the part that thought plays in the process; the result is that each person makes a “CHOICE” to either believe or not based upon a number of factors that may not be evident to others.
Do you think that the reasons the words “logical” and “illogical” are used as a singular defense is perhaps a ploy to appear superior by people who are UNABLE to explain the choices they’ve made? Is it in fact just easier to attack the opposition's logic rather than exposing one’s own logic to the critique of others?
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoTractor with shredder? Need to get a tractor what kind?
I live on 150 plus acres and don't really farm or ranch at this time, perhaps later.
Right now the issue is all the weeds and small brush that makes for a fire hazard. There have been too many wildfires in the last few years one got onto my place a couple of years back and fortunately the fire dept. got it out before it got my home.
I want to mow this stuff on several acres around my home to keep it less of a problem.
I don't have a lot of knowledge about farm machinery, but I want a good tractor with shredder and front loader too.
Please advise if you have good suggestions on make, model, etc.
A FEW THINGS I NEED TO CONSIDER: I am very sensitive to diesel fumes, so maybe gasoline is better for me.
I paid last year to have a man do the shredding and he had a small very old gasoline tractor and the smells did not bother me as much as a few years earlier when another person who did the work had a diesel tractor.
My area has lots of cactus, mesquite, and thorn brush.
Thanks for any help!
1 AnswerGarden & Landscape1 decade agofor those who know Bible prophecy question Revelation 8:8-9?
I love to study bible prophecy. I have a question for those who also enjoy the same subject.
In reading Revelation we know many events precede the return of Christ which happens much later in the book of Revelation.
As I watched on the news the oil rig burn and fall into the Texas Gulf of Mexico, I could not help but wonder if this was not similar to an event in Revelation.
If in a vision you saw the oil sludge on the water could it not look like blood (blood is not always red it degrades to brown color), and could this oil leakage have a similar outcome? Could this huge burning oil rig that fell over into the water not appear like a burning mountain? At this time this incident seems to be getting worse and worse and the outcome is not fully predictable. While I am not saying these are one and the same, I do wonder if my past thinking about what this means may have been mistaken and something such as this may have the potential.
For those who have studied these scriptures please let me hear what your thoughts are.
Revelation 8:8-9
The second angel sounded, and something "like" a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood,
and a third of the creatures which were in the sea and had life, died; and a third of the ships were destroyed.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI am catering my own wedding. Buffet style. I need a chicken dish for about 50 people.?
I don't want to have to cook the chicken on top of the stove, I want something I can pop into the oven. That is tasty and not bland. Anyone with a great recipe for chicken.
My other meat is roast beef.
6 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoHow do women in arranged marriages gage your happiness in your marriage?
Do you rate your happiness upon his loyalty to you, upon how you feel in the marriage, or upon other things? Do you feel loved and do you feel he is loyal to you? Would like to hear from women in arranged marriages. Many married men in India and other countries are on the internet chatting with women about sex. How do Indian women feel about their husbands doing this? I am wishing to compare the feelings of women in India and places where marriages are often arranged as opposed to women in the USA. Please tell me as much as you can about whether or not you feel happy in your arranged marriage and what does or does not make you feel happiness with your spouse.
