1 AnswerDallas8 years agoWhat does it mean when all your car warning lights go on?
I was driving down the freeway, and all of the sudden I heard a noise and then the low fuel light and other lights all went on. I had half a tank of fuel. They were on for about 30 seconds then went away. I drove home and now my car wont start without a jump. Is it possibly just a bad battery? or something more?

I am moving to the Tyler, TX area, and wanted to find a cheap motel to rent by the week while I looked around for a permanent place to live. No motel with hookers, but I dont mind a budget inn or motel 6 type place. Something around 120/wk would be nice. Anything in the area (tyler, henderson, whitehouse, etc)

1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment9 years agohow do i travel between Disney World resorts?
I am planning on going on my honeymoon to Disney World toward the end of March 2012. I am hoping to go to a hotel (not disney) near one of their resorts and either walk or take free transportation to a different Disney park each day. I am wondering if they are within walking distance of each other or if I will have to rent a car and drive to each park. Also I live in California, so will the humidity in Florida be bad around March/April?
5 AnswersOrlando9 years agomy handgun will not fire?
I have a Hi Point 9mm handgun. I used it once, and it worked fine. I cleaned it after using, and now when I pull back the slide, it loads the casing but when I pull the trigger it goes back and nothing happens. I am thinking it may be some type of safety. I think I put it all back together right after cleaning, but it is possible I didnt.
Also sometimes the bullet will get stuck between the magazine and the chamber and it jams.
Any idea why this is not firing? I took it to the local gun shop and the guy said to mail it back to Hi Point because he does not deal with them
2 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police10 years agoWhat is the best truck bed liner, spray or roll on?
I have 2 types of bed liner for my truck. A set of spray cans (looks like paint cans) called Blue Magic, and a roll on liner made by Hurculiner. The Blue magic is about half the price, but the Hurculiner one sounds like it might work better. Which should I use? I will not be doing heavy hauling, just driving around town and maybe some 2x4's every once in awhile for home improvement.

3 AnswersOther - Advertising & Marketing1 decade agoare there jobs for LVN's or LPN?
I am unemployed and looking at going to a trade school to be an LVN (LPN). I keep hearing that there is a shortage of nurses, but also that hospitals are not hiring LVN's only RNs. Would going to a 13 month school for LVN be a good idea? I want something where I will have a very good shot to be able to get a job after school. Or is there a better medical career I could do in 1-2 yrs that would have better job security?
1 AnswerHealth Care1 decade agoHow is unemployment amount determined?
I just got laid off today. I started a good paying job in Jan 2010. I am curious when I should file for unemployment. I finished my training and working 30-40 hrs a week in Feb 2010. I am not sure how they determine my benefit amount in California. Should I wait until January to file? Will I miss a week of unemployment if I wait? Jan 2009-Dec 2009 I was making about 500 a month, and as of Jan 2010 I made about 3000 a month. Also I have 2 weeks vacation time saved up, will that affect my amount?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoWhen do I file for unemployment?
I live in California and found out I will be laid off Dec 27th. I have about 75 hrs of vacation time saved up which will be paid out over a week and a half after I am laid off. My question is, do I file after my vacation pay is done? Or the day after I am laid off? Will I receive benefits starting Dec 28th since I will be laid off or do I have to wait until next year after my vacation time is paid off? I earned about 40,000 if that helps. What is the best way to maximize my unemployment pay?
3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoWhat type of hours does a freight conductor work?
I just applied as a conductor trainee with BNSF and was wondering what their schedule is like? I know it is on call, and you may be called up. But what is the normal schedule like? 4 12hr shifts? 7 on 7 off? Do they often recall you? Just want to get an idea. Also any additional info would be appreciated, like the hardest parts of the job or anything else.
Thanks
3 AnswersRail1 decade agoCan I collect unemployment benefits in California?
I will be laid off in a few months, but I have a second job working security that I do from time to time for extra cash. The locations change, but the jobs are always at least 50 miles from my house. If I get laid off from my full time job and am still doing this moonlighting security job will that affect my unemployment? Since it is so far away it would seem I wouldnt be required to work there since I would make more on unemployment. What is the required distance I would have to go for a job?
3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoShould I quit my second job? Unemployment?
I have an almost full time job, approx 35 hrs a week 6 days a week. I occasionally have a day off so I kept my prior job which is on call security. My question is should I quit my security job since I have not worked it in a few months and I am working my main job mostly? My current job will end in December since it is a contracted position. I want the ability to obtain unemployment after this job ends and if I have this 2nd job I will still be employed. My security job is far away usually at least 50 miles each way and I only make $10/hr, 10 hrs a week. I dont want it to screw up my unemployment benefits.
