It labels you as being a loose woman for life. Why would a woman do that to herself?
25 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoWhere in the Bay Area has the best Cioppino?
I've been looking for a good Manhattan chowder and can't find it anywhere. The next best thing is a good Cioppino. I had a very good one at Pillar Point last weekend. Anyone have any suggestions on where has the best Cioppino?

3 AnswersSan Jose1 decade agoWhy do so many people think Jesus was crucified in Rome?
I recently traveled to Jerusalem and went on a tour from the Garden of Gesthamene to the Old City. I walked the path that Jesus carried the cross, touched the stone in Golgotha where he was crucified and was able to enter his tomb. However, when I got back and people ask me about my trip, people (mostly Catholics) look at me like I'm stupid and say Jesus was crucified in Rome. According to our tour guide, Jesus lived his entire life in the dead sea vicinity. As far as I know, this situation was handled by the local Roman occupiers of Jerusalem and Rome proper had little to do with it.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat are those bars on doors inhabited by Jewish occupants?
I work for an Israeli company and never really noticed it before. Anyway, I recently got sent to Tel Aviv and met a nice local woman who brought to my attention that the plastic bar thing on the side of my hotel room door was a Jewish tradition. Apparently you're supposed to kiss you hand then touch it to bless the room before entering. I noticed that almost all doors in Israel had these. When I got back to the US, I also noticed that most of the doors in my office have them too. What is the significance or history regarding them?

Is there any way to stop Yahoo IM from trying to force you to upgrade to the latest version? I don't want advertisements on my desktop and it's annoying to uninstall all the crap that comes with it.

I was cleaning out the glove compartment of my car the other day and found an expense report check from my former employer for about $900 that was 1 year old. Can I still cash it? I didn't see any expiration date on it.
4 AnswersOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoCan stores do anything if you ignore the people inspecting items at the door?
I'm sick and tired of standing in line getting searched at places like Costo and Best Buy just for being a customer. Can I legally just walk past them and ignore them? I mean, I paid for the items already and didn't do anything illegal, so I would imagine the search is voluntary. For that matter, can they do anything when those stupid alarms go off and you just keep going? Nine times out of 10 it's a false alarm so I would think that's hardly justification for an illegal search when they have no other evidence. Is there any legal course of action to follow if you're detained and searched even though you did nothing wrong? I've never seen a sign outside the door of a store saying you're subject to a search at the store's discression. Not even the police can do that.
