clash! ... just shattered

I got this 2008 (13"?) macbook from a friend. It already has an issue staying on without having it plugged on all the time. I'm on the train and it will cut off power for a second before coming back on. Because of this, the computer had an improper shut down. Once the power was cut back on, I tried turning it on again but it wouldn't work anymore.

Is this a lost cause for my raggedy laptop?

Both at the stops and inside the trains. For some reason I cannot, for the life of me, find these dimensions. I found some for BUSES, but not trains. I might just end up eyeballing it.

By the way, this is for a class assignment. I'm not going to actually submit it to the CTA or whatever.

This will be my first time doing taxes next year where I am currently renting instead of living in the dorms. I usually go to a place for help on my taxes and I know I need to bring my W-2, last year's tax returns, etc. Right now I'm not on a lease, so would I need proof that I am currently renting where I'm staying at?

I live in Chicago and I currently rent out my room in a house without being on a lease. Right now I'm still considered a Missouri resident (where I'm from) since I don't have an Illinois state ID. The landlady even told me not to put this address on my tax returns and use my Missouri one (which I find shady, but I think it's due to her ex husband still have some sort of entitlement or something).

I don't want to get in trouble and I want to eventually move, but since I have to do my taxes early for school I need to come up with a decision.

Forgot to include that I do have a job in Chicago.

I need to come up with a graphic design name for my company (and for now it's just graphic design, not web design as of yet). My first name is Athena and I originally want to use something that's associated with the goddess while still representing me, something clever. I can't do anything with an olive tree because that's been taken already.

Or should I just stick to using my whole name? Any idea I would like to use the word 'design' next to it. I'm seriously stuck, please help!

I also might want to get weave, too, so I don't know if that counts into pricing. I'm very new at anything dealing with braids or weaves.

Anyways, I wouldn't go to a really sketchy area, but just decent enough to go during the day.

My boyfriend will be graduating this year (sometime late summer) with a Master's in Biology. He's interested in a field in Genetics and Evolutionary Genetics. Last year, he was able to work in Chicago by working for a minimum wage job that sponsors through an organization. Now he's back in Serbia and is looking for an internship in Chicago for his field. I do know that he needs a work visa, and he won't get a school visa because of the cost. What places can we look into or what other options do we have so that he can live and work here? By the way, he's looking for a long-term stay.

I'm not really inclined to pay for a studio, but are there any cool places here where I'm allowed to do such pictures?

Hello all! So, I'm in need of help. You see, I love the song "Wrong" by Depeche Mode. It has a dark, depressing tone about it, yet it has a really good beat and sounds very New Wave-ish. Does anyone have any good song suggestions similar to "Wrong"? It can be from any artist. I don't want anything to sound too "poppy" or "fun".

I know for a fact that it's not my connection or my computer. I have an iMac, the wifi works great with other websites, especially ones with a lot of Flash, and I share the wifi with 3 other people. Everything else loads fast for them except Youtube. It's very aggravating.

I already know how they both can be caused by, but I'm wondering if that could happen

I think it has something to do with the perception of your looks to yourself or others, but I'm on spring break from school, especially AP Literature, so I'm a bit rusty on poem-analyzing. But if anyone could help, I will forever be appreciated.
