Would Jesus have liked marijuana?
Once demonized and outlawed, now (somewhat) legalized and accepted, would Jesus have been okay with marijuana?
It is clear that Jesus was cool with wine (it really was wine, the "grapejuice" idea didn't come out until 19th-century America). Would he also have been cool with marijuana? After all, have you ever seen anyone angry or violent when just drunk? Sure you have. But I've never even heard of anyone even being angry on weed.
We've had US presidents that have admitted that they've done it, would Jesus have?
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhat ever happened to malt liquor 40oz wide mouth bottles?
Back in the late 1990s, you could find 40oz wide mouth malt liquor bottles everywhere. Colt 45 had one (even with double malt), as well as St. Ides, and many others.
The only one that didn't was Magnum.
But today, you can't find them anywhere. Why? Was there some stupid, Bible-banger law that too much of a diameter of the mouth made it pornographic? Was Snoop Dogg advice too harmful?
Man, without old Billy D Williams' wide mouth, how's it really supposed to "work every time"?
1 AnswerBeer, Wine & Spirits8 years agoHow do I get a contract to test airport security effectiveness?
I think it would be interesting to have a contract, as an outside vendor, to test the effectiveness of airport security (i.e. try to sneak weapons past them to test if they can actually catch them or not), but do it to test their systems to make the airport safer (and make money for myself).
No, please don't answer "hey, show up with a gun and see what happens!", I'd like to try their effectiveness without going to prison myself. Thanks!
3 AnswersAir Travel8 years agoWhere can I find good Savannah kittens to adopt?
I'm looking for a decent breeder that doesn't want a crap-ton of money, but that isn't some old ditsy grandma that never checks her email and never updates her webpage. Also, I live in Ohio, so if I can drive a little bit to get there, I'd need to have them shipped. Thanks in advance!
2 AnswersCats8 years agoIf you use a gaussmeter to check an electromagnet, does it matter if the electromagnet is AC or DC in design?
Or would you have to get a gaussmeter that is specially designed for AC or DC to correspond? I'm not sure it really matters, so long as there is an EMF, please help!
3 AnswersEngineering8 years agoHow do I use a car battery to power an electromagnet?
I needed to use a standard car battery (12VDC 550 amp/hr) to power a DC electromagnet that requires 12VDC 18.4W, 1.53 AMPS@12VDC. How do I accomplish this?
I was thinking about using a sine wave inverter connected to a Single-Output DC Power Supply between the battery and electromagnet, but since the battery and electromagnet are both DC, it would seem there's a better way.
Please help!
2 AnswersEngineering8 years agoWhat kind of smoking jacket (pajamas) does Hugh Hefner wear?
He has a distinctive jacket and pants (or fancy pajamas, if you prefer), but what brand are they? And no, please don't say that they're the cheezy ones you can find on Amazon.com or Ebay for $25 with some winking douchebag with a Playboy bunny on the back!
3 AnswersCelebrities8 years agoWas Jesus against us having sex?
It seems many Christians think so, but I just can't find it in the New Testament. Where is it? He mentions "adultery," but from what I can find that meant having sex out of wedlock, or kids having sex, or adults having sex with kids (all of which make sense as wrong). But what about unmarried, consenting adults? On the other hand, he talks often about us loving one another deeply. Was he actually encouraging consenting adults to have sex? In history it appears that differing peoples that fornicated together ended up getting along. What do you think?

APR is irrelevant (I pay it completely off every month).
1 AnswerCredit9 years agoIs there a type of plastic or glass that allows complete UVC radiation penetration?
The preference would be 100% penetration, although I think it's impossible. If not, what kind of plastic or glass would allow the most UVC radiation through?
2 AnswersOther - Science9 years agoWhat is a great Houston steakhouse?
No, not a tex/mex place, not bar-b-que, not Flemings or Outback! Just good classic Texas big-hat, big steak goodness!!!
2 AnswersHouston9 years agoIs there a credit card with 5% cashback and no annual fee?
I don't mean 5% in certain categories, or at certain times, and APR is irrelevant.
5 AnswersCredit9 years agoWould you call Honda an American car maker?
I recently saw a billboard outside a Honda dealership near my house, it said "Buy American, buy a Honda!" And I had read this article recently:

What do you think, and why?
4 AnswersHonda9 years agoIs it legal to own a ringtailed lemur in Ohio?
This question was asked a few times here before, and nobody gave a straight answer. I don't care what your opinions are regarding owning an animal like this (if it is legal to own giant snakes, giant spiders or giant lizards, I miss the importance of people's moral objections). I just wonder if it is legal to own one in Ohio, and where they can be bought. Thanks!
4 AnswersOther - Pets9 years agoWhat makes people clumsy?
Is it usually psychological in origin? Does it usually start by being physical in nature? Does it have to do with sensory or mental impairment? Yes, I know, many of you will say that every person is different, yea, I get that. But are there real root causes to just being a clumsy person?
3 AnswersPsychology10 years agoWhat is the fastest you have HONESTLY ever driven in a car?
Why did you drive that fast? Where were you when you did it, and what were you driving? If you knew you could get away with it now, would you do it again???
3 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoDo you think alcoholism is a real disease?
It seems like many people just use it as an excuse to be a bum, beat their wives, etc. By American standards, wouldn't like 85% of European adults be considered alcoholics?
5 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoWhy do fundamentalist Christians, and Mormons, dislike alcohol?
According to the Bible, Jesus turned water into wine, and he referred to his blood as wine in the sacred communion with God.
Why would any Christian not want to drink alcohol (or wine, specifically), in able to be closer to God, when the living God told us to drink it to become closer to him?

Technically called a "menses," why do we refer to it as a woman's "period"? Does it not seem like a strange thing to call it? Why is it called that, and where exactly does that term come from?
