my 6yr old female beige chinchilla has malocclusion, shes had her teeth burred down twice. the 1st time she was fine running around the house like a lunatic but this 2nd time the vet gave me some metacam for pain relief.after a couple more days once the antibiotics wore off she started drooling, after a couple of days it seemed to get worse so i took her back to the vet. he basically told me its the way shes eating and just catches her gums with her teeth and that she will be on metacam for the rest of her life. she eats normal but drinks a bit more water due to the amount she looses through drooling. has any body had similar experience with there chinchillas,rodents ??
