If you can wash them (and most modern trainers are washable), I would suggest first soaking them in a bucket in a solution of warm water and 1 cup baking soda. Soaking overnight would be best.

Then pop them in your washing machine with soap. Make sure you wash them with a few towels that will help protect your machine from the pounding.

When the rinse water is spinning out, make sure that the shoes are sitting in the tub with the soles pointed towards the centre column of the agitator. This will help make sure that all available loose moisture is spun out of them properly.

You can put them in your drier as well on a medium heat, or place them over a heat register to dry.

Keep them clean. Don't wear them for more than one day at a time so they have time to air out for a whole day between wearings. You can make a sachet with baking soda (bicarb) and shove those in there on the days where you're not wearing them.

If you have only one pair and wear them daily, you're out of luck. Have you had your feet checked out to make sure there isn't anything up with them that might be causing the extra funk?
