've got a crush on this guy for sometimes now and when my two best friends found out they were really supportive initially.I'm really shy so i haven't made the move so far... but lately I've sensed that my friends weren't as enthusiastic as they were before and i even got the hunch / feeling that one of them has also got a crush on him based on the way she talked / teased me about it... it kinda hurt me in a way... i don't want to lose her as a friend and i don't want us to fight because of a guy. but what she said the other day regarding the matter, although jokingly, is so painful for me too take... i did not want to make a scene so i decided to drop the subject then.. but i still can't forget it till now... I'm afraid that if i broach the subject she'll thinks I'm overreacting or something...

I'm new at this digicam thingy and I'm looking forward to buy one. Is there any digital camera that can do the focusing where the subject look sharp and the background is blurry? I understand you can do this with DSLR. Should I just buy DSLR?

I have always like the quality of pictures from non digital / film camera, I'd like ones which match or better than this non digital camera.

I bought a new pc and had it for about a month now, but for the last 2 week it started to shut down by itself (and without any warning too) while i was doing my work or surfing the internet. What could be the problems? Could it be the hardware or software problem?

My pc is AcerPower 1000-240L, one of those ultra small and space saving unit but very noisy because everytime you start it, you could hear the fan 'working very loudly'. other specification: AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 4000+, NVIDIA nForce 430 MCP Chipset, 1GB DDR2 Memory, 160 GB HD. My brother formatted it himself and use window vista home premium OS. (Pre-loaded OS was Linux). I also noticed that just before it turn itself off, the fan would 'spin noisily' - I'm sorry i don't know how to describe it but i hope you get what i mean. Sometimes I only just started using it for about 15 minutes before the screen goes black and 'no signal' was display on the monitor and the pc shut ifself off.

Our house was buglarized last night and the thieves took a handbag and it contained, among other, my brother's car spare key. Now we are afraid that they might came back soon and steal the car too. How can we prevent this? He had an alarm installed in his car but I realised these days many thieves are way too clever...

I found a document on my pc (belongs to my brother, since we share pc) and the document status says: 'this document is encrypted and may use security features that prevent you from modifying certain aspect of it'. What does it mean really? Sorry, i'm not really good on this computer stuff.

I was surfing the internet using firefox when it suddenly freeze. This has never happened before. I tried to end the programme but nothing happened. It is still on the task bar. I think something is wrong with my pc but when i start other programme like words, explorer it works fine. I'm not an expert on this stuff, can you help me out?

My father suffers from gout for years now, he got on a very strict diet and avoid all high purines food, he also takes his medicines everyday. He hasn't had the attack for months now but recently it started again. It saddened me seeing him in so much pain.

what could be the problem? I was doing some work on my pc and saving data from the internet, i was already going on about an hour and the half and suddenly the screen just went blank and its light flickered. I tried switching it off and then switching on again but nothing appeared on the screen and the light still flickered.

p/s: The monitor is kinda old, haven't been used for some time and only recently we started to used it again.

Although i passed my test a couple of years ago i still became very anxious especially if i have to drive up on a hill (even with auto transmission car). this may seem funny to some of you but i need some tips please.

... to a 10 years old kid? i'm helping my cousin to improve her english, she learns it in school but she still has difficulty understanding the language. she has a hard time doing the comprehension and grammar.

I'm trying to find out what is wrong with my grandfather, he complained of constant headache and feeling dizzy especially in the morning and late afternoon/ evening. he has had medical check up and everything but the doctors can't find anything wrong. he's about 73 years old.

How do you deal with it?

what do you like about branded or established brand name pc e.g dell, IBM, Compaq, Sony etc?

I'm not so much into junk food, i just want a more healthy diet, like, should i avoid white bread at all? that kind of thing..
