  • Sherlock Holmes related anime?

Other than Case Closed, what Sherlock Holmes related animes do you know of and where can I find them? I'm going to be running an animated Sherlock Holmes panel at a convention in a few months and want to make sure I've got as many covered as I can. I have access to Netflix, CrunchyRoll, and Funimation. Also, where is a good place to find Case Closed, I haven't found it anywhere yet.

  • help with cat peeing everywhere?

I adopted a cat 4 years ago, she's 5 years old now. She is extremely bonded to me, and doesn't like me to be gone for long periods of time, or be more than 5 feet from me when I'm home. For as long as I've had her she has had problems with the litter box. When I first got her the vet ran a bunch of tests, but there is nothing medically wrong with her. She was on Prozac for a while, but that didn't help. Her issues started as marking (I had two other cats at the time) but evolved into general litter box avoidance. She also is very picky about how clean the litter box is. Recently I got her down to just one place outside the litter box that she would pee, and I used puppy training pads to keep her from ruining my floors. About two months ago I started using Dr Elsey's litter, which seemed to work like magic. She didn't pee outside the litter box for two months. Then this week she suddenly regressed. I've been spending more time away from home than usual. While I was gone for a weekend she peed on a cabinet. The other day she peed on a wall right in front of me. Then this morning she peed outside my bathroom because I wouldn't let her in while I was showering. How can I get her to consistently use the litter box, and be less attached to me? I think the two issues are related. I'm at my wits end, I don't know how much longer I can put up with this. I'm about to make her an outside cat (which she wants to be).

  • Someone gave me a rabbit yesterday...?

I've owned a rabbit in the past, but it's been a while. I don't know anything about the rabbit other than it might have been dumped by a "breeder" who was told to get rid of them. I think its full grown, but still pretty small (I would say less than 5 pounds). I know I need to get it a bigger cage (the one they gave me is only 20" by 16") but I'm not sure what type of cage would be best. I don't have the skills or time to build a cage, so what kind of cage to you recommend to buy? Do you have any recommended brands or styles? Multi-level or flat, plastic or wire, double floor or not? I'm pretty clueless here. This will be an indoor rabbit, given some time out of the cage (in the evenings) and occasional outside time in a playpen.

  • How to deal with a female cat spraying?

I asked a few months ago about a cat I have gotten from a shelter, she is a one year old spayed female. Since we got her she has had a spraying issue. We have tried everything and nothing seems to be working. She has recently graduated to full on peeing outside the litter box, either next to it, or on the carpet.

I took her to the vet yesterday to make sure she was healthy, and she is. The vet feels like this is territorial/dominance marking since she is being chased and bullied by our other two cats (a three year old neutered male and a one year old spayed female).

Here are the things we have tried

Feliway Plug in - helped initially, but none of the cats seem affected by it now, they really seem to have gotten worse.

Switching cat litter - we were using a crystal litter, and after the Great Feline Pine Revolt of '08 we are now using World's Greatest, which everyone is happy with, but still having an issue.

We cleaned all her favorite spots with enzyme cleaner, she still returns.

We put the food along a wall she liked to spray, she started spraying the cabinets on the next wall.

We put a litter box on one of the spots where she was peeing, she pooped in it, then jumped out to spray the cabinets.

Different litter boxes, she wont use a covered one, so they are all uncovered, she doesn't like the automatic one. She seems to have no problem using a litter box since she poops in them, she just wont pee in them.

We are currently keeping her separated and plan to try reintroducing the cats. Do you think this can work? Last night she peed on the door and sprayed the wall next to it. I put her litter box next to the door hoping she would use it, and I plan to slowly move it away from the door.

How long should I keep her separated? How should i go about reintroducing her? Is there anything else you can suggest to help? My vet is going to get back to me next week with some ideas, but I want as much help as I can get.

  • How to I get my female cat to stop spraying?

Ok, Here is the situation. We adopted a female cat about four weeks ago. She had to stay in isolation for about three weeks because she had a URI, we started socializing her with the other cats toward the end of that, but the we found out she had coccidia and had to isolate her again. We let her have supervised visits with our other two cats during this and had no unexpected problems. She used the litter box fine during all of this. Since she was cleared of the coccidia we have let her have free rein of the house. She gets along fine with our other female most of the time, but our male doesn't like her at all. He hisses and growls whenever she gets too close, and she returns with hisses.

So far this week (she was just cleared on Monday) she has pooped in the sink by the downstairs litter box once, and outside that litter box twice. She has also sprayed our shower curtain by the upstairs litter box. Yesterday we caught her spraying the wall in our bedroom.

  • Would you feel bad?

My husband and I haven't really been looking at getting another cat. We already have two. But my best friend works at a no kill, cage free cat shelter near where I live. I was looking on their website and spotted a cat that I love, she is gorgeous, has the personality I like and I think she would really get along with our younger cat. So I called the shelter and asked if she was still available. They said that she was, but that a couple was looking at her last weekend and they seemed interested. They then said that if we wanted her we needed to show up when they opened with our paperwork already filled out so that we could get her before anyone else.

We are now planning to show up as early as possible to get her, but I feel kind of bad that we may be taking her away from someone who also really liked her. We haven't even met the cat yet, though we will certainly spend time with her before completing the adoption to make sure she really is what we want. Would you feel bad about it?

  • Cat fight or allergy?

On Thursday last week I put Revolution flea treatment on both of my cats. On Friday, my 3 yo male went out for a couple of hours. When he came in I noticed that he had a bald spot between his shoulder blades where I put the flea treatment. When I looked closer I could see three small superficial scratches in the spot. These scratches were gone by the next morning. Since then the spot hasn't gotten any bigger.

My question is, could this be a reaction to the Revolution, or did he get in a fight? There is one cat in the neighborhood that he has tried to fight several times. There are no other injuries and the spot doesn't bother him, though I have seen him scratch at it. He has been getting Revolution for over a year now with no problems, and my other cat hasn't had any reactions to it. Both cats are fixed and have all their shots. I plan on taking him to the vet, just wanted to see what you thought it might be.

  • Can you identify this spider?

I live in Atlanta, GA. I have found two of the same spider in my bathroom and was wondering what it might be. It has long skinny legs. The body is about 3/4 of an inch and light brown. With the legs, the spider is about 3 inches across. Its not a brown recluse, as it is too big and not in a dark place. Both spiders were hanging out in the bathroom, one in the shower and one just outside the shower. The one in the shower moved out when I turned the water on. They both were also hanging out at the top of the wall near the ceiling and seem to have a network of strands strung across the ceiling, as that is how the one moved this morning. Any guesses as to what they might be?

  • What kinds of fish should I add to my aquarium?

I have a 20 gallon tank that has 2 tiger barbs, 1 platy, and 1 pleco (used to have 2 plays but one died). These fish were added to get the tank set up, and I'm now ready to add more. What other fish should I add to the tank? I want to get about 3 more tiger barbs, but not sure what other fish to get.

  • Just bought a house and the plumbing is done wrong?

I just bought a house three weeks ago. The house was built in 1960, and the sellers had purchased it last July and "flipped" it. The inspection and everything was done and nothing was said about the plumbing. Part of their improvements was to redo all the plumbing in the kitchen and add a shower and laundry sink to the lower level. We just discovered that the plumbing for the shower and sink was not done properly. We had a plumber come out to fix what we thought was a leaking sump pump connected to the sink in question. That is when we found this out. Is the seller responsible to fix it, since they put it in and we haven't even paid our first mortgage payment? The house was not sold "as is"

  • How can I introduce my kitten to the outdoors?

I have two cats now. One is a 3 yo male, the other is a 10 month old female. I will be moving to a house this weekend and would like to let my cats be indoor/outdoor cats. The male has been an outdoor cat before and has driven us crazy for the past few months while we have lived in an apartment, so I am not worried about him. The female has never been outside (I've had her since she was 7 wks and she has lived in this apartment the whole time). She is pretty skittish when out on the balcony, if a person or car goes by she will freak out and want to come in NOW. I am worried about her being outside because of the skittishness, though she really wants to be out. She meets me at the front door every morning when I leave for work and I let her out, but she gets to the mat and wants to go back in. How can I safely introduce her to the outside? Both cats are utd with shots and have been spayed/neutered. Please dont tell me not to let them out, I have had outdoor cats my whole life.

  • My cat hates to be touched?

I have a 9 month old kitten that I got when she was just 7 weeks old. She hates to be touched or handled and will scratch and bite if you try. She also likes to stare at my husband and I from across the room or will sit at my feet and stare at me (which is really creepy). She also likes to lay on my clothes if they are on the bed or couch. She sleeps with us on the bed, but hates to be petted. Is there something wrong with her?
