1 AnswerMovies6 years agoWhat do you call a question that nobody wants a honest answer to?
Such as:
Do you like my new hairstyle?
Do you believe in God?
What do you think about Obama?
Have I offended you?
Questions on Answers.
And regardless of what you say as your honest answer, you don't win.
I call the questions themselves a lie.
1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture7 years agoGrammer question concerning the word bookends as a verb.?
I am attempting to use the word "bookends" as a verb in a sentence, and I wanted to verify it correct because word tags it.
I am discussing a part of a story that begins and ends the story. "It bookends the tale." Is this a valid sentence?

I'm sure nobody would like to be in the spots he's been in. I almost feel sorry for him. But he's paid well like the overpaid crybabies he babysits.
4 AnswersBaseball9 years agoSixth Amendment question?
Why did Congress deem it nessassary that one must assurt thier rights of a speedy trial when those rights are already assurted in the constitution. Those were representitives of mine making that assurtion. It is not my place to mind the courts business. We pay them for that. That's as idiotic as your spouse told the kids to clean thier room, but you did not assurt it, and therefore it was never assurted.

Just asking, I have notice a lot of girls asking if they can be pregnant. They say that well he stuck it in and he did it. Can I be pregnant.
And then they vote for on a answer that tells them that they are not pregnant. I just don't get it.

11 AnswersBaseball9 years agoVoir Dire question...?
This is just an example. Not the real situation.
Do you think that this is a good Voir Dire question? Give input.
Ladies and gentlemen, people have a difference of opinion.
For example: You are diving along one day and you see a child running toward the road and the mother chasing behind screaming “Stop!” but the child will not stop because “she refuses to listen to her mother.” I repeat, “She refuses to listen to her mother.” You slam your breaks and you miss the child that has just run across the road, but an officer sees you, and you get the ticket for improper breaking (After all, the law is the law), and then you find yourself in front of a jury. You realize that someone on the jury might have a “different opinion” and that it would have been better if you just slowed down.
After all, the officer testified that there was plenty of time to slow down, and we must obey the law; so why did he not just slow down?
However, you still “reasonably believe” and these are the key words, you “reasonably believe” that slamming the breaks was the correct thing to do.
Now raise your hand if you agree that, even if there was a 100% chance that slowing down would have prevented you from hitting that child, do you want that jury with “a different opinion” to “reasonably believe” that you did not want a child under your car?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics9 years agoExcel formatting; Cell formatting.?
I want to display an absolute value in a cell; however, I want the cell to retain the negative value for other cell functions. The referencing cells are in a data table so I cannot modify those cells.

1 AnswerSoftware10 years agoHave you ever started to answer a question and just could not finish?
I'm talking about on answers. Sometime I get about half way through an answer and realize that there are just to many options to consider. So I don't answer the question.
