  • Anyone know where I can get this particular shirt in a smaller size?

    http://www.savilerowco.com/Dark-Burgundy-Pin-Strip...

The colour and pattern is exactly what I've been looking for. Unfortunately, I have quite a skinny frame, so, anything bigger than a 14.5" collar (35-37" chest) is pointless for me. Anyone know where I can find something similar in my size?

  • Size charts on T.M. Lewin's website.?

I am thinking about ordering some (mens) shirts through tmlewin.co.uk. I have checked the size charts and the chest sizes don't appear to be right. Have a look for yourself: http://www.tmlewin.co.uk/Size-Chart-Tabs/Size-Char...

I'm looking at getting slim fit shirts with 14.5" collars. My chest size is about 36", but the chart says that 14.5"-collared shirts have 42.5" chests. Surely that can't be right?

  • Is the wordplay in this word easy to get?

    Hi, all.

I'm thinking of a YouTube name for a gaming channel. My name's Max, so, I desperately wanted something like "MAXimise". Taken, of course. The name I have at the moment is "MAXaccre". Think about that word for a moment. Did you think of the word "Massacre" when you read it? Because that's what I was aiming for.

I ask this question because it's difficult to know if other people would get it. I obviously get it because I thought it up.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Do I have to join her friends circle?

Asked this girl out for coffee; she seems really interested. We arranged to get a coffee between lessons, but when the time came she seemed to have forgotten because she had to revise for a mock exam. I said, "Don't worry if you need to revise.". Then she asked me if I'd like to come along with her to the library. So, we went and joined two of her friends at a table. Was briefly introduced. Now, I don't know what she has in mind nor what I should do. I've settled in with a group of friends already. If I want 'to pursue' her, will I need to abandon my old friends and attempt to integrate myself in her group (it's a wide mix of people including boys and girls, by the way)?

  • Should I contact this girl via Facebook?

First of all, we're both in college and have 'known of' each other for a while. Recently, I've asked her (in person) to get a coffee with me. She said that would be great, but we both had to rush off before we could arrange anything and said we would arrange something when we would see each other the next day. I didn't get a chance to speak to her and I won't for about a week.

My firm belief is that it's best to do these kinds of things in person, if possible. The only problem I have here is that it might go 'cold', for want of a better term. In other words, it seems like it might become awkward (and desperate) to ask her again. So, should I ask her again in person when I see her, arrange something over Facebook or try to obtain her number?

I'm quite inexperienced in the field of dating, so go easy.

    Thanks.

  • Is this the same bus (First Bus service)?

Hi. I intend to take the 125 First bus from Homebase in Worle to Cribbs Causeway bus station. However, I'm confused because I think either the bus changes its name, to X25, or there's a changeover at Portishead. Have a look: http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/bristol_bath/journ...

When I made the search on the website it said that it was displaying routes without changeovers. I intend to ask the bus driver anyway, but it would be useful to know beforehand.

  • Should I say I can go into work, should my boss call?

I'm 17 and I work part-time at a café. Normally it's very busy on a nice day and not so busy on a day on which the weather isn't so nice. I get called in sometimes to help with the busy days; usually my boss will put me on standby, so he can call on short notice. He hasn't put me on standby for today and I haven't had any work for the past week because of the rain. I doubt that he'll call, which is good because I've made plans to go out with my friends. If he does call and wants me to come in, is it acceptable to say: "I can't because I've already made plans for today."? I know I should prioritise work over social life, but I honestly think that it would be too short notice.

  • Why did I have this nightmare?

At the time, it seemed like a dream, but the more I think about it the more I think it was a nightmare.

I don't if it is helpful or not to interpret one's dreams, but I'd like to hear some interpretations.

It started at a hall where I've never been. I knew that I was having a regular table tennis match against another team, as I do most weeks in real life. I was by the open door with the other players. Outside stood a man telling us that it we would be snowed in if we didn't leave. The snow was already 10ft thick and someone was saying to the man that we could simply crawl through the snow if it should get any worse.

Then, the dream shifts to a movie-like atmosphere: I couldn't feel the things around me and there were panning shots which made me think it was a film. Having said that, I felt very immersed. I dreamt that I was watching this with my mum (we watch a lot of films together). This film consisted of a life-size plastacine doll of a man with merely sockets where eyes should have been and mouth wide open. It was sitting in the back seat of a car in the middle staring into the camera (at me). I heard a 'build up noise' (the kind you hear right before something really dramatic happens in a horror film) which I think was my dream's interpretation of the noise of the cars zooming past my house at night. After this, there were similar images with similar noises, which I found very disturbing.

Sorry for the wall of text but it was quite detailed. Any ideas about what this could mean?

  • In an AS law examination, is it necessary to write the court in which the case was heard?

When you give a case as an example in an A-level law exam, does the court in which it was heard need to be stated. For example, R v Mason (1981) CA; R v Mason (1981) Court of Appeal; or R v Mason (1981)?

I've only bothered learning the names and the years. Is there a possibility of gaining more marks by learning and stating the respective courts?

  • Is it necessary to store a microphone properly while not in use?

I've recently bought a microphone. It's an AT2020 from Audio-Technica and it's a standing microphone. I normally leave it on my desk, where the room temperature is cool and it is not in the sunlight at any point during the day. Should I be storing it to prevent dust or moisture getting into it? Or am I being overly anxious?

  • How much revision should be done for A/S levels?

I'm talking about an average day, nowhere near the exams, but during term time. Outside of the classroom, how much should I be doing? I'm already spending my two-hour breaks in the middle of the day revising or doing homework.

I'm taking law, English language, German and Spanish - does anyone know for any of the subjects how much should be done, particularly law? I hope to study law with a language at LSE, so that means getting A grades all around at the very least. Do I need to be using as much time as reasonably possible to revise?

  • What is the song in Malcolm in the Middle when Dewey is in the car with the robber?

It's in the second series, approximately halfway through the first episode "Traffic Jam". The robber starts talking to Dewey and some metal-rock kind of music is playing in the background.

  • Has she not added me on Facebook because she has a boyfriend?

I'm over-analysing this and in all honesty this doesn't bother me, but I'm curious and I would like to hear other people's opinions.

I met a girl at college and I find her attractive (and I have reason to be believe this is also true vice versa), but I definitely wouldn't go as far to say that I want to be with her. Her best friend had added me and a lot of other people from college, so I had accepted her request and later I sent a request to the other girl. This was but at a time which I didn't know that she had a boyfriend, and until that time when I found out I was a bit puzzled because she had no reason to ignore my request.

So, in my mind, the only logical reason is that she has a very protective boyfriend. What do you think?

  • How can I show laughter in a transcript?

I am transcribing a conversation in which there is laughter, but not the kind of laughter one could write with the common English letters. It's like an inhalation. It seems best to use "(she laughs)" without the quotation marks but I don't think that transcriptions would display it like a stage direction.

  • How do I get my iPod Touch to play higher rated songs more often?

There is a 'smart playlist' in iTunes which shuffles the songs but also has the option to play higher rated songs more often. There doesn't seem to be such an option on my iPod Touch. So, is there any application, or perhaps Cydia tool, which would allow me to do this?

  • When would be the best time to go running?

In a regular week, from Monday to Friday, I get up at 6.45 and I leave the house at 7.40 in order to get to the bus stop at 7.55. Between that time and 5.30, I'm at college (including walking home from the bus stop). I eat dinner at six o'clock and go to bed at approximately 9.30. I would struggle greatly to try to fit in a run in the morning, so I guess the evening would be best. On the weekends however, there's always time; I only need twenty to thirty minutes.

I am a regular runner and I want to keep going in order to stay fit. On a week day, would it be better to run in the morning or the evening? I believe, that if I do it in the morning, I'll be tired for the rest of the day. I feel that if I should leave it until the evening, then I won't bother, although overall I'm partial to running in the evening.

  • Do all appeals in law automatically go to the Court of Appeal?

I have started studying law at college in September, so I have tonnes to learn. This is for English law by the way.

If a defendant appeals, then does their case go to the Court of Appeal even if the court in which their sentence was declared? Or are there appeal courts of different divisions and levels?

  • Must credit be given for the use of a custom Minecraft skin in a video?

If I were to go to a website with several Minecraft character skins, uploaded by various creators, to download one which would be seen in a video that I would record and upload to YouTube, would credit directed toward the skin creator be necessary?

I know that they own no rights of Minecraft, but would it be simply common courtesy to give credit to them? I have been under the assumption that no-one needs to credit, although it does seem necessary to credit the texture pack creator.

We are talking about skins of one's own completely personal creation (e.g. a policeman skin), which is not an adaptation of a television, video game etc character.
