Well I have a friend, we'll call her Janice. Janice is kinda unpopular, because she is very shy. I am popular, and the only reason we even became friends is because she and I got partnered up for a social studies project and we became friends. Janice is very self concious, and she won't even go to my birthday party simply because their will be popular people there and she is my best friend now. Sometimes my friends make fun of me for hanging out with her, but I just tell them that she's awesome and I don't care what they think. Janice used to be popular, but when her mother died when she was in second grade she went quiet. And all of her friends at the time got sick of it and she became a loner. And then their is a boy she likes and every time she sees him she'll hide her face and cry because hes much more popular and she feels she has no chance. Janice dosen't know how to get the comfidence to not be embaressed over nothing, and I tried telling her it's all in her head and I wanna help, but I don't know how anymore. Help?
