  • What to wear for movie character day?

Spirit week. Normally I don't care, but one of my classes is entirely comprised of kids that we have all known since elementary, so we thought we'd dress up and take a yearbook photo. The picture is to be taken on movie character day. I'm a guy, middling height, and semi-overweight. Any ideas?

  • What are some things we really need that we don't think about?

As in, what are some of the most under-appreciated things we use in our lives? What could we not get along without, but we never acknowledge as something important?

  • Should I have kissed her?

I'm dating this girl who is really shy. And, why most people advised against it, we did dinner and a movie on the first date because she really wanted to see Gatsby. We held hands for most of it and I put my arm around her for some of it and she leaned her head up against me. Then, after the movie, we went and talked in my car. I had a curfew, and do she knew that I had to go, so I drove her to her car (she had to work earlier so it was a necessity). We sat and talked for a bit longer about why I asked her out, and I told her that I had had a crush on her for a while. When it got to be time for her to leave, I gave her an awkward hug, because apparently I'm a wimp (although not according to her). Before she got into her car, she rushed up to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Should I have done that first? Is it a signal that I should kiss her on the next date? BTW we're in high school

  • 2 questions relating to first date?

My (is she even?) girlfriend always gets cold, and while texting that came up, and I mentioned that I would bring her my jacket to our first date to warm her up. She then said that I didn't "have to bring her one, but then I would have to warm her up."

    Do I bring the jacket?

Also, on a somewhat related note- before a first date, are high schoolers consider themselves bf and gf? I'm kinda new to dating. Very new and very, very hopeless.

  • For Film Buffs Only: best non digital movies?

For the newer generations (myself included), we did not grow up knowing movies that were shot on film.

So, can someone give me a list of the best movies that were not shot digitally, or a site that has a list to that effect? I have not been able to find anything appropriate.

  • Can someone use the word palsy in a sentence?

As a verb- I am fully aware of how to use it as a noun, i.e. cerebral palsy.

    The definition: to paralyze.

I understand how to use paralyze in a sentence as well... duh. I just don't know what type of situation calls for using the verb palsy.

  • "Modern Family" dynamics?

I am doing a project where I have to compare and contrast the family dynamics of a nuclear family (my own) and a hypothetical homosexual family, and I thought it would be cool to do Cam and Mitchell and their daughter's relationship. The only problem: I have only ever seen one episode of modern family and do not have time to go through them all.

My questions: can you tell me a bit about them? Where would they go on vacation? How was each raised? How did they go about adopting Lily? Are they legally married? If so, what was the marriage like- did they elope or have a honeymoon? How do they (if at all) teach Lily lessons and raise her? How are their relationships with other family members?

  • What are some absolutely inconceivable events?

I am writing a paper and I need one more to fit into this list- can anyone think of an event so ridiculous that I could not think of a way for it to happen?

    Excerpt

The universe needs to be a simple and perfect entity, because for it to be irregular would disagree with observations made in day-to-day life- the Earth does not get turned inside out,______________________________, and politicians don't tell the truth.

  • Could someone give me some ideas?

I have to write a lengthy argumentative paper and then follow it up with a product.

I have an idea: I would like to do mine on the harmful effrcts of internet communication such as FB orr texting. However, I can not think of a student generated product to follow it up with.

I am also open to other topic ideas, preferably those that have to do with math or science.

My question: can somebody think of any products to do for my idea or for another argumentative topic having to do with science or math?

  • Time Warner Cable Issues?

We have two tvs, each with their own cable box. We have Time Warner Cable. The downstairs one is closer to all of our routers and things that receive signals(I don't know if this helps or not). However, upstairs I am not getting groups of channels that I am getting downstairs. Additionally, the cable box had a 3 minute delay with the remote buttons. After 2 hours on hold with Time Warner, they sent out a guy and he hooked up a new box. This fixed the delay, but I am still not getting a few channels. I forgot to add this, but sometimes recordings just cut off on channels such as FX. What's the problem? How do I fix it? And no, I would rather not spend another 2 hours on hold and yes, I have already rebooted the cable box three times.

  • How strict are DMV examiners?

I was driving 38 miles an hour in a 35 mile an hour zone, but I was still going much slower than the flow of traffic. All the same, the examiner told me that I had a lead foot(keep in mind that I was only going 38 around a bunch of cars doing 50) and failed me because of it; honestly, that was the only reason that he even cited for failing me.

So my question is, has anyone ever had an easy examiner, or are they all head cases?

    Why me?

How messed up is the DMV?

(on a side note) Do you people really want to lower taxes, because less funding for the DMV(included in lowering the taxes) also means that a 3 hour DMV trip is now a 6 hour one?

  • Topic for my Senior exit paper?

I'm a sophomore but they make us come up with our topic really early at my school.

So,What is the best paper to write? Is it the benefits of cutting military spending? Is it the harms of incredibly over processed food in America? Or is it the benefits of having a longer school year? Like as far as viable arguments and available information on the given subject
