hi, i just wondered if anyone knew what chapters in the books he appears in the most where he himself is discussed. For example i know he was pretty much raised by Elrond after his mum dropped him off at Rivendell , but i cant remember where I've read it, it might even be in Silmarillion or something.

please note , that if this sounds ignorant or wrong then I am sorry, I read them over 7 years ago - and just the once, and since have been contaminated with the movie versions (which i still like too!)

so on my kindle ive got only a few books which i want to keep but online on 'manage kindle' i've got over 100. to delete the ones i dont want i have to do it one by one which takes forever! so if i deregister my account will i keep the stuff on my kindle but everything online goes away? and then if i re-register will it copy the existing books on my kindle to 'manage kindle'.

will this work? or will i have to sit there for an hour or two deleting one by one?

So any reccomendations for films where the lead (or one of the leads) is somehow 'not normal' - it can be anything from uglyness/scars/slightly autistic - and somehow disproves others opinion of them . (i realise im not explaining this very well...) eg, i watched 'thats what i am' the other day and kind of like that, how an 'ugly' ginger kid is actually a really good strong person, and the other normal more popular boy begins to see that.

Recently I've decided to take a break from scifi/fantasy films and watch more depressing realistic dramas. I watched 'sweet jane' the other day and loved it (despite it not being a big movie). Any more films like that? thanks.

at the moment i take double maths, psychology and geology. i figure i am gonna drop maths at the end of the year (and i should have an A level in it) and carry on geology and psychology. This means i have to take another subject, but because i will only be doing the new ones for a year, are As worth much? (as in, will universities look at them, or just focus on the 3 A levels i will have?)

a free-fall simulator consists of a rope passing of a pulley atached to 200kg mass. those using the simulator are attached to the oppostite end of the rope weight. starting at the pulley they fall for 10m before the rope becomes taut. the person mass is 70kg.

a) calculate the speed they reached by a person using a simulator when he has fallen 10m and the rope becomes taut

b)find the acceleration of the person using the simulator when the rope is taut

c)how far will the person fall before he stops moving?

substituting x=0 , find a.

from the graph is looks like it crosses y at -2, so wouldnt a be 1 - but in that case why is it even there?
