LOTR - Aragorn's story?

hi, i just wondered if anyone knew what chapters in the books he appears in the most where he himself is discussed. For example i know he was pretty much raised by Elrond after his mum dropped him off at Rivendell , but i cant remember where I've read it, it might even be in Silmarillion or something.

please note , that if this sounds ignorant or wrong then I am sorry, I read them over 7 years ago - and just the once, and since have been contaminated with the movie versions (which i still like too!)

any help, thanks.

Aragorn's story is mostly mentioned in Appendix A (v) "Here Follows A Part of the Tale of Aragorn and Arwen", in Lord of the Rings. (This occurs at the end of the story, after The Return of the King.)

His background including bits about his mother and father, his fostering in Rivendell leading up to how he met Arwen, his relationship with Elrond, and his mother's death, are all mentioned in the Appendix.

    Just read them again.

Aragorn and his lineage are discussed in pretty much every other chapter once Frodo and Sam go their own way. From there the story is broken in two (Frodo/Sam in one half, the others in the other half) and in the non-Frodo part Aragorn is discussed at length.

He's barely mentioned at all in the Silmarillion.

u have to delve deeper into tolkiens world lol. aragon is from the dunadain, he descends from royality..his real names strider (the barman at the prancing pony even calls him this in jacksons film).."the ranger from the north" ..also "from a house long bereft of honour etc says the steward of gondor" there are a few books on lotr and its origins,as u say silmallion is 1 of them..but just like u iv no memory of this place so il follow my nose hehe....theres also tolkiens unwritten works which his son finished i think..tolkein went to amazing lengths to create his "own world" which is why lotr is so unique..harry potter fans can read and weep..they cry for more more! j.k rowling was a great childrens story teller but she lacked tolkeins depth in creatin languages..races..worlds lol think your looking for the book that tells u the royal lineage which is the 1 uv mentioned or the unfinished 1 i have ? the hobbit was written as a childrens book which is why its so short you wont find what u seek there hehe

just lol@his mum just dropped him off at rivendall haha
