Margie Phelps, a leader of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church, today announced that they would be picketing Steve Jobs' funeral. How did she make the announcement? VIA HER IPHONE!!!!

to put the HATE on hold until Tuesday? Monday is Memorial Day, when (among others) we remember those who gave their lives in war. HATE causes WAR. Can we just call a moratorium on HATE for three days?

2 AnswersOther - Internet1 decade agoIt's the 21st century; why is this still true?
We have a multi-TRILLION dollar national debt, millions are jobless, millions more are facing homelessness, gas is heading for $4 per gallon and possibly beyond, we're told the seniors won't be getting a COLA raise (for the 3rd? 4th? year in a row), there's no money for anything the people need, yet......THERE'S ALWAYS MONEY FOR WAR. WHY?
2 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoI've been trying all morning to refresh my Yahoo Toolbar?
I had trouble refreshing it yesterday, but it eventually appeared; today, no matter how many times I click on the "Refresh Toolbar" icon, nothing happens. I have no Yahoo Toolbar at all (yes, I've checked under "Tools", and Yahoo Toolbar is checked). Any ideas?

4 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoHow far will the Republicans go?
Now they have defeated a bill that would have provided extra healthcare for 9/11 first-responders suffering from the aftereffects of their own heroism. 41 Republicans voted "NO" on this bill. May they burn for all eternity.

of the Kansas church that is planning a 90-minute protest before Elizabeth Edwards' memorial service?
5 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoHow can the Republicans justify this one?
The estimated $700 BILLION in tax breaks for the top 2% (who don't NEED it) is a good thing, but spending a lousy (in comparison) $14 billion to give a measly $250 to seniors (who did NOT get a COLA this year) is a BAD thing? The logic in this one escapes me entirely.
10 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoThis is not a rhetorical question....?
Where is all the HATE coming from? I'm not talking about the usual mud-slinging/muck-raking to be encountered in an election cycle; I've been looking at some of the political/general questions in Yahoo Answers, and I'm APPALLED at the level of animosity I've encountered. Any insights?
