Last night I left out wet cat food and dry cat food for my 1 year old cat. Tonight (I was away), I came back to feed him and found "maggots" (white small worm like insects) in his food. I freaked out! I promptly threw his food and dish away. My father (who cat sat for me) told me he was itchy a little but mostly sleeping the entire day (more than usual). I'm very worried. Should I take him to the vet or will he be okay? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I attempted to do a search and nothing yielded helpful advice.

After I received a notice to quit, I've now received a summons for a hearing to be evicted. If I pay what is owed prior to the court day and prior to answering the complaint will I still be evicted?

I've had my kitten since July (7 months) and recently the past two weeks he's been meowing a lot. He's always been a very quiet kitty. We adopted him and he was a feral/wild cat and they are prone to be less vocal, so has anyone else's previously feral cat started meowing for no reason? He's in perfect health too, litter box is always clean, he always has fresh food and water. He is an indoor cat now though.

I live in an apartment and have had a cat for three months now. I received him as a gift. I fell in love and despite having a not pets allowed policy in my lease, I kept him. Has anyone else done this or had any pets when they lived in an apartment that doesn't allow pets? I'm curious because my complex is doing some electrical work in all apartments for two weeks and can't give us notice when they come in. I'll have my kitty at my parents but was wondering if anyone else has done this?

I went to an interview today for a management position, and the two men who interviewed me ask about my credit score, how much I owed in student loans, why I didn't want to locate, what my boyfriend did, and what my mother does. It was really bizarre I answered, but I was curious why would they need to know this information?

Aug. 10-17 I'm going on the Norwegian Cruise Line Dream ship from Boston to Bermuda! Has anyone been on this ship before? Did they have the chocolate buffet and do they do towel animals? How were the shipboard activities? Any insight would be fantastic!!

I changed my cats litter from A&H Clumping litter to Worlds Best Cat litter and at the same time bought a cat box (Omega Paw Rolling Cat Box) from a disposable one! We recently adopted a kitten so wanted to make sure he'd use his litter box first and he was healthy before we bought a sturdy long term box. Now three weeks later we got the new Omega box and WBC litter and he doesn't use it! Any suggestions? I have no more of the old litter sadly.

When my kitten sits near me or on me, he loves to stare at me. This is especially when I'm reading, on the computer, or watching tv. So when I sense he's staring at me I blink so he's not offended. But he loves to touch my eye with his paw. It's never hurt, and it's not even playful he just loves to touch it. Has anyone else's kitten done this to them, and what might it mean? Thanks.

I took two home pregnancy tests, after two years of unprotected sex and no birth control. Was very excited this month when my period didn't arrive. It's been a week and a half late. Ran out today to buy two home pregnancy tests (CVS brand). Both said "not pregnant". Very disappointed. Have many people had a "false negative"? My period has always been very regular, and I'm not taking any medications.

I'm seriously considering getting a pet for my apartment. I've had dogs my entire life, but after much consideration. My roommates and I have decided a cat may be a better choice. Out of the tree of us, only one has ever had a cat and it's been an outdoor cat. If we get one, it would only be indoors as we're on the 3rd floor. Anyone have any suggestions or tips for first time cat owners?? Thanks.

Can someone suggest a safe and effective way to drop one or two dress sizes in two months (I'm a 14 now, looking to go to an 10 or 12). I'm looking for something easy to follow and not a diet fad. I've tried weight watchers, jenny craig, south beach, (in the past) and I'm just sick of them all. Also anyone can suggest a walking/slight jogging regiment for two months would be fantastic as well!

He has been getting up lately in the middle of the night after having strange dreams, thinking it's time for work (his work schedule varies from 5am-11am), showers in a hurry thinking hes late, gets out of the shower and then realizes it's 3am or 1am (etc.). and goes back to bed. Sometimes he gets so confused he gets up showers eats and as he's walking to his car before realizing what time it is. I've only woken up twice to this, but he's told me it's now happened at least six times. Can anyone suggest a reason for his behavior or a correct doctor he might want to see?

Hi I have a Blood Parrot fish (one) and a Rainbow Shark (one) in a ten gallon tank. I already understand I am going to need a larger tank in the near future, but PLEASE what other fish get along with these two?!
