My Honda Civic 98 automatic transmission with 129K miles on it has been giving me a lot of problems recently. Some other things that are wrong include,

Oil leaking from the head cover gasket.

A crack in the exhaust.

But the main issue I am having is with the transmission I guess. As I hit the gas the revs go up but the car takes a lot of time before it shifts the gear and gather enough speed. Its not smooth at all. What could be the reason? It also takes a lot of time to gather speed when starting from zero. I know its and old car but it wasn't like this before.

What else could be the reason?

What effect does the transmission oil has on all this? I bought it used 4 months ago and I dunno when was the last transmission oil change done.

Only 2 days ago I realized that my Honda Civic 98 has a crack in the exhaust in the Y groove. The original honda dealer price is around $600. I found one made by dorman in ebay for $269.99. It says it can be used in California.

Hi, I bought a used car. A Honda Civic 98 with 123K. It was running fine. But yesterday I took it 400 miles away gave it a 2 hours rest and got back again. On the way back, all of a sudden, the car wouldn't speed up above 65mp/h. I hit on the gas, revs doesn't go up nor the speed. If its down hill then only the speed goes up. After a while, I realized that the front right tyre was flat. I had no option so I drove it some 60 miles like that. What could be the problem? Is the transmission gone? Another thing, just before that I had filled gas at some weird gas station.

Something is growing in area and is doubling everyday. It will grow to its fullest size in 48th day. On what day was the thing grown 1/4 of its fullest size?

Its for California DMV driving test. I have it on 18th. I'm always confused. I stop only when the light is red or if people are crossing the streets? I do slow down though.

Accord($3999):

Miles: 137,479K, car fax report is good. From a local dealer. I hope I can bring down the price to at least $3000.

Civic($3500):

Miles: 122K, well maintained & take care of car. From an Individual. I hope I can bring down the price to $2800 at least.

What do you guys think? Its gonna be my first Car. And thats all I can afford.

Is it OK to buy a 2004 Toyota Prius Hybrid that has run 70K for 3200. I'm a struggling student trying to get the first car. The guy says its under warranty, no accidents, everythings good. Is it OK to buy a hybrid one. Please help, I gotta decide quick.

I know its a line from Scott McKenzie's song. But has this got any meaning. I just came back from San Francisco. One of my friend said the same when I told her that I would be going to SF.
