Anyone have personal experience with boys in camp fire? Is there still a social stigma for this being a "girls" organization?

I am quitting my desk job and going to work in the great out-of-doors. No longer will I be a slave to the mousepad. Thanks to all the R&S regulars who make this forum such a twisted form of entertainment. I wish happiness to all of you!

This speaking in tongues thing. I've seen a lot of references to it in the last couple of days. From the questions and the answers I have inferred (possibly incorrectly) that this is something that happens a lot in an evangelical church. Is this correct?

I'm not slamming evangelicals here, this is just what I have conjectured.

I just read a couple of answers in which atheists were referred to as mostly "chubby" and "emo".

I'm not either.

What stereotype do you think of when someone says atheist?

Clearly I didn't know the term was in common use, which freaks me out even more.

I mean absolutely no offense to that woman who had the prayer request. It was a horrible scenario she described.

However, her use of this term seemed appalling to me. I don't know, seemed a little contradictory. Thoughts anyone?

Since faith is a product of our consciousness, and our consciousnesses continues to evolve, will we eventually lose faith as a useless appendage?
