I have like two days to submit my SIR but haven't quite made up my mind yet. I wouldn't actually be debating it if it wasn't for the fact that I got regents at UCLA so I have a full ride plus priority enrollment there (I've been told that only about 200 people get regents). For Berkeley I have to pay about 3,000 which is virtually nothing but I don't get priority enrollment.

Now I've always wanted to get away from home like go somewhere else (I'm from soCal) and Berkeley has been one of my top schools since I was a sophomore, but now I'm having a really tough time picking Berkeley because of all the privileges I get in UCLA.

I'm not sure about my major, I think I'm going to do chemistry and pre-med but I hear that in Berkeley pre-med is super competitive, but it is also the best place for Chemistry. I know UCLA would be more chill like easier in a way and I really like the campus and environment but I've always wanted to get away from home.

I really don't know what to do.

I don't think I'll be shooting many sports or any other fast things, more like everyday stuff and portraits so is this kit worth it?? or should I save myself a few bucks and buy it from best buy for $1050+tax with a 18-105mm f/3.5 - f/5.6 DX Nikkor lens

and also about the warranty, I know if I get it from best buy I can extend it for up to 4 years by paying like a bit over 100 bucks, but Costco only covers the manufacturer warranty and you can return it 90 days from purchase no questions asked.
