  • Old mouse meeting new mice, keeps attacking them. Should I give up or keep trying?

I had my mouse Mimi have to be put to sleep due to cancer, leaving her sister Momo, alone. I got two new mice today, which seem to be half the size of Momo. Not sure if it's age difference or just if Momo is fat/large. I introduced them on my bed, and all went well and fine, they seemed to do fine. I have a large network of bin cages as my main mouse home. When i'd put the two new mice in here to see if Momo got along with them, Momo instantly chases after them and starts to attack them. She managed to cause one of the mouses to bleed :( I'm still shaken up at the loss of Mimi, and the idea of Momo getting depressed. Momo has been alone for 2 days now. Should I give up on trying to find her a friend or should I keep working at it? I don't want to keep introducing them to only have Momo attacking them. Momo was definitely the alpha female when her sister was there (who I believe was from another litter, but the same pet store). She was never as violent as she was with these two new mice though.

Should I return these mice, so they can have a happy home else where? Or should I keep trying to introduce them to Momo over the week? I'm starting to become really uncomfortable with the idea of putting them near each other again since she keeps lunging at attacking these poor mice.

  • One of my 2 mice passed, should I get another mouse?

Momo & Mimi were my two fancy mice, but then Mimi developed cancer and had to be put to sleep last night. I know that female mice are social creatures, and do well in groups. I don't want my sweet Momo to get depressed or stressed that her sibling is no longer there. Is it better to get more mice, and potentially have a never ending chain of having to get new mice after one dies? Or should I just keep Momo by herself and make sure to give her extra attention? In the case of getting new mice, how many more should I get? My boyfriend doesn't seem to approve of me getting more mice (mainly for dumb reasons), but Momo's well being comes before his opinion. What should I do?

  • What is wrong with my mouse?

I have 2 female mice in a cage that has 2 food bowls, a wheel, several hide-aways and toys. My fluffy brown mouse, mimi keeps having the skin under her ear bleeding on and off. It happened probably a week or so ago, then stopped and looked like it was healing. I can't figure out if it's the two mice rough housing or if she has some type of sickness that is making her scratch away at her fur. The rest of her is fine, and i have a dust bath in there for them. Mimi does seem to groom pretty frequently though as well. I am getting pretty worried about her, and am thinking of taking her to the vet if it persists. Does anyone have any ideas what might be happening? (Mimi is the less dominant mouse, and the other mouse Momo is the seemingly dominant one).

  • What should I use to clean my fish tank?

I have a 5.5 gallon tank with a betta fish and live plants, and had some fetilizing tabs in the tank before. Now i have a ton of like junk in my tank that varies from plant roots, little dust/dirt particles, etc. They stay at the bottom unless i rearrange stuff, but i'd really like to get that junk out of there. Any suggestions on what tools I can get? I don't want to swap out all the water since the last time i did that my betta got a fungus infection/shock.

  • Best outfits & stores for clothing for mid-twenties business professional?

I have been working at my new job for a few months now, but am quickly running out of stuff to wear. Does anyone have any outfit ideas or stores that they could mention that are good for looking professional, but not outdated. I hate those HUGE pants that a lot of business women wear, and want to still look cute without sacrificing it for looking professional. Thanks!

Betta fish acting strange, what is causing it & what should I do?

Last night I changed the water completely in my 5.5 gallon tank. It has a heater & a filter. I have several live & plastic plants in the tank & my betta is the only fish or creature. I use water conditioner/declorinator. After i did the water change he was swimming happy and was moving at the speed of a race horse. I noticed he was kind of doing something weird and swimming at the gravel behind a plant (nose down) in some spaces. He was fine, then I woke up this morning and saw him hovering very close to the surface on his betta leaf hammock. I thought he had died at first, since he always greets me. I have been getting updates that he has moved around a bit, and now he is sitting correctly on his leaf like this apparently. This morning, i noticed his back tail fins were clamped up a bit and were like diamond looking at the end. It looked like he had some like translucent **** in some areas of his tail too. At first I thought he got sucked into the filter, (it's a low powered one for 1-3) gallons, but then i thought maybe he was sick. He didn't go for food (usually he is a huge pig). I'm not sure what could be wrong with him, I was worriedly trying to make a list of things that could have happened and here are the new things that has happened in his tank:was testing out a vacation feeder tablet (which i don't think worked, and removed after 2 days) ,could be overfeeding him, i feed him 3 pellets twice a day and like 3 blood worms. He typically is very active. Please help.
