  • Clomid/Period Issue - Please help?

Since November 2011, I have been on the waiting list for injectables but my doctor wanted me to continue with the Clomid. (I understand the chances of success decrease after a short time, he had his reasons, this is not what I wish to discuss.) In April. we decided to come off it a while, everything had become to regimented and we just wanted to enjoy sex again without all the pressure. We decided to go back on the Clomid. As I don't have periods without the aid of medication (will be heaven after all this TTC business is over) I could start the Clomid whenever I wanted to again. Doctor had advised me that I didn't need to induce a period before I started again. I was taking the pills on CD1-5 so that wasn't an issue either.

Right, my problem. I am now on CD10 and yesterday I noticed some spotting but knew that it could happen but it has now turned into a full period, cramps and all. I don't know what to do about the Clomid. Do I take this as the start of my cycle? Do I continue on the previous cycle? I'm at a loss and need some advice. I can't speak to my doctor as the offices are closed till Monday and by that point it will be too late. Do I count today as CD1 and start the Clomid again or do I count it as CD10? If I count it as CD1, am I am greater risk of a multiple birth (presuming that after all this time the conception occurs twice!) but not twins? If I count it as CD10, have I wasted this month and risking messing up next month too?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. X

  • Elliptical Trainer help needed?

Forgive me but I am a complete novice when it comes to Cardio equipment. I have two questions and I hope you can help me.

    Question 1

Is a Cross Trainer the same as an Elliptical Trainer?

Question 2 - Assuming the answer is yes.

The one I have (Reebok made) has different programs increasing in levels. P1 being the easiest and P8 being the hardest. Anyway, P1 says I burnt 60 calories in 10 minutes but the rest say 55 in 10 minutes. Not sure how. I did a full 60 minutes in it and it says I burnt 330 calories, but when I use an online tool and input my weight/height/sex/time it says I burnt 1021 (http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc).

Anyway, my question is - Which do I believe?

I have a HRM on order with Amazon and once that arrives I will be taking the information from that but in the meantime I am hoping to get the most accurate information as possible.

I have been advised to take an average of the two but I would still prefer to know which is more accurate.

If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

  • TTC for 3 years and giving up hope?

Little background information on our situation.

I am 24 and my husband is 26. We started trying for a baby three years ago next month. After 12 months of no periods my Doctor finally decided to run some tests to see what was going on and referred us to a fertility clinic but due to relocation we were unable to attend. Our new Doctor wanted to run some tests and also referred us to a fertility clinic and we had our first appointment 2 years and 3 months after we started trying. It was a further six months before we started any treatment and I am just entering my fourth month of being on Clomid. The first month wasn't a good one as I still did not have a period, the second one was not good either as I had hyperstimulation syndrome with it. The third, although not successful, was a good cycle. No problems during it and a period at the end of it.

I know that I have only been able to conceive twice in nearly three years but I am starting to think that maybe I am just not the right sort of person to be a mother. My husband has had all his checks done and he is able to conceive a child without any issues which is putting more pressure on me. He assures me all the time that if he had to chose between a child and me he will always choose me. When he proposed I told him that I never wanted children and he still encouraged me to plan our wedding and we made plans together for the future. It was him telling me this made me want to have a child and now, I feel that I am being punished for initially not wanting to have a child.

I feel that all hope is lost, especially as my friends and family who are trying seem to conceive straight away. My cousin and sister were both on birth control pills when they fell pregnant.

Has anyone else been trying for this long or even longer? Are you still trying, were you successful or did you give up? I would be grateful if you could share stories. Mostly so I know that I am not alone in this.

Everyone I know who has a child conceived their child out of wedlock. Maybe we should get divorced and start again? Lol.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you can share stories.

Good luck to everyone still trying. XX

  • Pelvic Pain during Intercourse and Bathroom visits?

For the past week I have been having a lot of pain in my pelvis during sex. The pain is so bad I don't enjoy it and we have had to stop a few times, other times I try my best not to let my husband know that I am in pain. For the past few days it has been getting worse and when I need to go to the bathroom it hurts and hurts whilst urinating as well. I have had similar pain before during sex but that is when my husband hits against my cervix and the pain stops immediately so I know it can't be that.

We have been trying for a child for almost three years and I was due to ovulate yesterday which I is why I never let on to my husband that it was hurting. I'm going through fertility treatment and I'm not prepared to waste a month as it is rather expensive.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what this could be I would be very grateful. I am going back to my doctor in two weeks and will ask him them but I was hoping for some advice in the meantime as I am beginning to get rather worried about this.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

  • Help with Sleep Hyperhydrosis (Night Sweats)?

My husband is 26 and sweats terribly in bed, I have a sheet between the duvet and our bodies to try and keep it from getting wet but sometimes that is drenched also and I have to wash the sheets every day.

He isn't suffering from any illness (at least not one that we are aware of) and he doesn't have any anxiety issues, he's one of the most laid back people I know.

He is going to see hos doctor next week but I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of how to manage this. I already make sure the house is cool, the windows are open and we have a fan next to the bed to keep the cool air circulating. I try not to let him use the duvet but he is a grown man and I can't tell him what to do, plus I don't want him to be cold.

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

  • Happily married so where's the sex?

    Posted on Mar 19, 2011 2:01 AM

I met my husband when I was 18 and married when I was 22, He is 20 month older than me. We will be celebrating three years of marriage in November.

We love each other dearly and if he was to have his way, we would spend all day having sex.

The issue is that I have no interest in sex and never really have.

When we do have sex I thoroughly enjoy it but don't want to have foreplay.

I have had previous sexual partners but I wasn't overly bothered in sex with them either.

We have been trying for a baby for almost three years and now we are finally at the point where it is possible for me to become pregnant (problems lie with me not him). The problems were present before we started trying.

I'm not sure how we can improve things in the bedroom not only so that I start enjoying sex but so it doesn't start to feel like the only reason we are having sex is to start a family.

If anyone can offer any suggestions to get things kick started again I would be very grateful.

  • Learning to drive and Insurance?

I am buying my husband a car and driving lessons so he can finally do what he has been threatening to do since he was 17 and drive. Lol.

Obviously I will have him insured full comp on the car, but, if someone as to take him out driving between lessons, his mum for example, will they need to be insured on the car also?

  • Has anyone tried Herbal remedies for infertility?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for two years now and have been referred to a fertility clinic.

Whilst in town the other day and visited a Chinese Herbal Remedie store and bought some pills called Nuan Gong Yun Zi Wan.

Figured it can't hurt to try whilst waiting for the appointment to come through.

I was wondering if anyone else had tried these or something similar and what the outcome was.

  • Cats, Injections and What To Do?

I have a three year old male, neutered.

I have had him since he was a kitten. He has never been outside.

He hasn't had his injections either.

My husband and I are moving in November and I would like to allow Tigger (the cat, not my husband) to go outside if he so wishes. I am not planning on doing this till the spring, I want him to get used to the new house (also a new country) before I let him do this and plus, he doesn't like cold weather.

I was wondering if it is still necessary for him to have his injections and if so, what sort, when and how much they would cost roughly (£).

Thanks for you response in advance.
