We just moved and switched to Direct Tv (probably a mistake) and the installer did a crappy job on our install. Our 46" tv was working fine (it is attached to an HD DVR) for about 2 days, and then we started having problems with the tv coming on. Now it has been about 3 weeks, and the tv won't come on at all. It blinks like it is going to, but then just flashes red (like it is going into standby) and then turns off. We went to best buy tonight to ask and the tech there made it sound like he had heard of this happening (that the receiver was actually messing up the tv) and that direct tv knows about it, but he refused to go into any detail...I can't seem to find anything on line about it though...

My fiance has a woman friend who he has had forever. He talks about her alot, puts comments on her myspace quite a bit, calls her sweety when he talks to her. He assures me that they are just friends, and I believe that, but why am I still jealous of her - he really doesn't even ever see her. I think part of the problem is that I haven't met her yet, I am hoping that once I meet her, things will be different...

So when I divorced I kept my ex husbands last name - since I have kids with the same last name. I am going to be getting remarried (hopefully next year) and I want to take my new man's name, but I don't want to lose the tie I share with the kids. Can I hypen my name with my ex's name or is that an unacceptable thing to do?? So if my name now is Jane Doe, can I hypen to Jane Doe-Smith??

So not asking for medical attention, just wondering if anyone might have a thought. About 20 years ago, I broke all the blood vessels in my knee above my calf playing soccer - have had varicose (sp) veins ever since. This weekend I was riding my motorcyle in shorts & the next day my leg was killing me. At first I thought I got a burn, but it was more like a bruise, only red - it wasn't pussy or puffed up like a burn would be. So today the red streak is almost down to my ankle - it is about 2" wide & 8" long, and the part that hurts has traveled down towards my ankle. So now I am wondering if I maybe got bit by something, but there are no marks. I am getting a new tattoo tomorrow on this same leg, and now I am wondering if I should get this checked out before I introduce something new into my bloodstream....any doc's out there with an idea?? I may try to call my dial a nurse, but thought I might catch someone here with ideas...

I give up - man dating in UR mid 30's as a single mom sucks. If u see my other posts u will see that I have been having some issues with a guy that I have been seeing. I THOUGHT that we had broke up on Sun and sent some pondering thoughts to him, only to have him call me Monday night saying he didn't want to break up. Then we didn't talk all week, and I tried texting him last night, & no answer. I am not a patience woman and it was driving me crazy cuz I hadn't heard anything from him since Mon. So I sent him a email that I wish I hadn't. It wasn't bad so to say, but it did talk about our insecurities & was pretty heartfelt & kinda laid some things on the line. I thought I would at least hear from him by now today (either saying stay away or let's work this out), but nope, Nothing! Should I give it through the weekend & then try to call him and see if there is any chance to smooth things over, or just move on?? He has done everything opposite of what I have expected & now I am confused

ok - I feel like I have tried all the tricks to find a chew toy that will keep my puppy entertained. I have tried kongs - various types with various food treats in them, I have a sqeaky toy, a rope, a stuffed animal, have tried rawhide (doesn't like). I can't seem to find anything that will keep his attention more than a minute or so. Anyone have any other ideas???

I have been dating this guy for a little over a month now, and we had a GREAT weekend together this last weekend. We were talking though Sun night, and I brought up the fact that he doesn't call me as much as he used to, and that he didn't seem as interested (hindsight, probably shouldn't have said anything, but it had been bugging me) and that I just wanted to make sure I wasn't a booty call. He pretty much went cold and told me that he wasn't ready for a relationship, and if that was what I wanted then we need to part our ways. My question, though is - if you are dating someone, isn't that considered a "relationship" - I don't know if I even want something long term or anything yet with this guy, I wasn't even asking him to be exclusive. I was going to call him tonight and talk more, as we have been sending some emails back and forth, and now it sounds like he just wants to "be friends". Should I just move on, try to be friends with him, or try to find out where he is coming from?

I need to figure out square footage for aluminum siding on a trailer. The front is 96x23 -is that really 2208 sq ft, or do I need to divide by 144?

Ok - so I have met a pretty nice guy - one problem, we both have 4 year olds, and are on opposite schedules (so we don't have a weekend when we don't have the kids). I am very protective of my son and don't let him meet the guys that I am dating - don't want to subject him to all of that. Wouldn't you know, the guy I am dating is also very protective of his daughter and doesn't let her meet the girls that he is dating. Regardless, even if we did "meet the kids" we wouldn't have any alone time together. My ex won't budge on his weekends (tried to get him to swap some so we could have a little time) and I don't know that he is going to have any better luck with his ex switching his weekends. So any ideas except for babysitters all the time - which is an expense that I can't really afford. How are we going to make this work - I really want to try to figure out something. Any ideas from other single mom's out there??

I met a guy online a couple of months ago - we met in person a week ago and he called me every night afterwards and we talked for 1-3 hours each nite. We had a second and third date this past weekend, and we were supposed to go out on Sunday night again, but I think that he got tired of me (we pretty much spent the weekend together) and so he cancelled Sunday night. He sent me off with a hug and no kiss (but I was a little sniffly at the time, and he might have been worried I was catching a cold, which I did). Ok so long story short, I had kinda invited myself to his house to hang out tonight, and he is acting weird - not sure if he wants me to come over or not. Should I come up with an excuse not to go or should I go and see if I can figure out if something is wrong?? Right now I feel like he was playing me to get what he wanted and am a little PO'd about that.

Reiksa (pronounced reeks a)- my 4 yr old son just came up with this name for our new puppy, and I have tried translating it in different languages and can't seem to find a meaning for it - not even sure if it is a word - but wondered if anyone had any ideas??

I met someone online in December, and we have been dating off and on since. I am not ready for as serious of a relationship as he is, and would like to move on - I am very busy, and have tried to get together with him to discuss this and every time, something comes up that prevents the discussion. I will admit it, I am chicken to tell him in person, as he does have a little bit of a temper.
