  • Another one of those lame 'what do you think about me [[pic]]' question out there!?

Well not so much of a "what do you think about me" question but more directed at my hair.

    Okay this is me:

    http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a88/andilynn77/ME...

I'm wanting to know a couple different things.

    1. See how I have the dark underneath and blonde on top? I'm wanting to get rid of the dark underneath and do it so it's blonde all over like how I have it already on top. Maybe with a few more low lights in all over.

    2. OR I'm wanting to get all over this (in general) color:

    http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a88/andilynn77/RA...

I was also thinking to do the first idea with this reddish color of lowlights all over. I'm kinda torn and just frustrated with it all (silly thing to stress over, I know!) but I just want some opinions on what you all think. I'm not doing it myself, I'm going to my hair stylist to have it done. If I do the all over red color I will be doing it in fall like September when I'm more tan from the summer. I know I'm pale now but come on, it's February (& I live in the Midwest...brr!). Anyways.... what do you all think??

P.S. I know my hair is kinda crazy today but I woke up late :P

  • Comparison on hair products?

I'm wondering if Sebastian Xtah Raw Hair Crude Clay modeler is similar to Bed Head's Manipulator? I'm wanting a thick molding product. I have long hair but I want something (other than pomade) to give me the textured and piecey look when I curl my hair w/ my flat iron to give it waves. Something that will hold, have a matte finish, & not look greasy. Which would you recommend? I can get one slightly cheaper than the other so if they're pretty much the same consistency and finish wise I'll go with that one. I know Sebastian's is a lot thicker, but Bed Head's is still pretty thick. I've never personally worked w/ either of these products... just have read reviews and I've felt a little bit of Manipulator's consistency at a salon browsing around. Is there another product all together that would work just as good or better? What do you recommend?

  • I have a recipe that calls for dry sherry?

I have asked this question in the "Cooking & Recipes" section because I had to pick between that section and this one, looks like I went with the wrong section the first go around! Hopefully (which I think is the case) you guys' will be more knowledgable about this! Okay here's my question:

I'm new to cooking but this recipe calls for dry sherry. It's a wine I assume? This probably sounds stupid because now I know it's a TYPE of wine?? But I went to the grocery store and there wasn't anything that was called or labeled "dry sherry". So what exactly would I buy? White wine? A certain brand? I have looked up the definition for dry sherry but still doesn't tell exactly what to buy for newbies like me.

Thanks for all the answes guys... but I'm sort of hearing stuff I already know. I know WHAT sherry is (foritfied wine). I don't want any substitutions... I want actual dry sherry. I think I may just have to go in to the grocery store and ask someone. When I'm looking at the wine aisle...what am I looking for? A white wine? will it say on there "dry" or "sherry"? There are so many types, what's a genuine dry sherry? brand?? Maybe if you have a link of a picture of the stuff you use (ACTUAL DRY SHERRY, no cooking sherry or substitutes) that can be found at a regular grocery store. Here's the link to my recipe I'm going to try right now, although I have many recipes that call for dry sherry that I have yet to try because Idk what exactly to buy!

  • What do I use to paint a pillow? (pics)?

I'm wanting to paint florals on pillows. What kind of fabric should I use, and what kind of paint should I use. It can be different kinds of paint. Like a type that would leave it chunky so that pillow would be mainly for decoration, and then another that would be smooth so you can actually use the pillow comfortably. I'm a pretty good painter, so the skill is not a problem.. just the technique, materials, and mediums. Here are some examples of what I'd like to do. How can I achieve these looks?

  • I want an amazing shampoo and conditioner... Any recommendations?

Okay I have gone through different kinds of shampoos and conditioners for years. I'll buy the big bottles and stay on one kind to see the full affect of each brand & so I don't kill my hair with such frequent and abrupt changes. I've used pantene pro v a lot for dry/damaged hair. Currently though been using pantene pro v beautiful lengths. In the past I've used Garnier Fructis regular and the sleek and shine line (Which I think smells like rotten fruit - yuck!), Herbal Essences, & Bath & Body Works moisturizing collection. I really liked B&BW but they're dropping the S&C I believe. Anyways...I've been wanting to try Biolage, and I have tried but just one of the types (fortetherapie) and the conditioner sucked...it's really sticky, doesn't spread well, and when it rinsed it was like I didn't put any conditioner in it at all (after leaving it on for 3 or 4 minutes even). It's also really hard to comb through, and just not anything I expected from a "professional" product. All those products I've mentioned, after using them for a while I notice a buildup and the S&C aren't working to their full potential anymore, being the main reason I switch to something else. Is there something I can use that can end my search for a great shampoo and conditioner? I want my hair feeling LIGHT and clean. Also something (or any product other than S&C) that can tame my fly-aways all over my hair to keep it STRAIGHT & smoooooth (it's naturally straight but my hair has a mind of it's own sometimes and does some funky bending in some places). I have long thick hair that I go and get highlighted regularly professionally (Which is why I choose to use dry/damaged whenever I buy a S&C). I haven't lost all faith in Biolage products, maybe there's a different kind from them I should be using?

    Please help!

  • Is there anyone out there who DOESN'T like kids, like me?

I'm not sorry about this. They're whiney, loud, they get in to things, they're messy. They annoy me. I'm not heartless, seriously. I mean... some people don't like cats, some people don't like dogs, I don't like kids! What's so wrong w/ that? Maybe I shouldn't like the parents in place of not liking the kids, considering that's where their behavior is molded and formed. Either way, I don't like kids!

  • Don't you think it's stupid how Yahoo has a limit to how many questions you can answer a day?

I get this all the time when I have nothing better to do than just sit online inside where it's warm on a snowy day answering questions...

"You have reached your daily answering limit. Please come back tomorrow."

Does the amount of points you have have anything to do w/ how many questions you can answer a day? What determines how many you can answer. It's so annoying. What a way to rain on my parade :( haha!
