  • help, need to know how to clean under my stove burners?

Hello everyone. I have an electric stove with 4 burners. They are kind of coiled and look to be made of cast iron maybe? They are really dirty themselves so I need to know how to clean them but more importantly under the burners is absolutely nasty! I cant remove the burners because at the end of the coil it looks like its connected to the stove and goes into it. There are crumbs and other nasty stuff that is way visible. Please help

  • swiffer wet jet vs regular mop, please read?

Hello everyone, I have a question that has been bothering me. Ok, I have a swiffer and use the wet mop swiffer cloths. These run like 5 dollars for 12 of them. When I wash my kitchen floor with them I use 2 or 3 each time. When I do the bathroom also 2 or 3. So I do this once a week usually which ends up costing 10 dollars a month. This seems kind of absurd to me. I see buckets that cost 2-3 dollars and that you can reuse tons of time and mops that cost 5 dollars. The big bottle of pinesol or mr clean is not that expensive either. Does it make more sense to do it the old fashioned way? The swiffer seems so much more easier but I question if its even cleaning that good. Is mopping going to clean better?

  • question about crib vs bassinet?

Hello, I am wondering if you let your baby sleep in her crib (in a nearby room) right from the start or if you use a bassinet. I just want some opinions. If you did crib from the start did you have better luck with getting a routine down? if you did bassinet in your room and switched to crib was it hard? what prompted the switch? Just trying to decide what to do when I bring my little one home. I am leaning towards crib in other room from the start

Hey everyone, I am wondering when you start using baby shampoo on a newborn? I read you should not bathe them (except for a sponge bath) till their umb stump falls off. After that though...do you just use a baby body wash? I'm just confused..Also, when can you start using baby lotion? Thank you

  • question about why toliet won't flush right, maybe something wrong with handle?

My toliet stopped flushing right out of no where the other day. In order to flush you have to hold the handle down. If you dont, it will still make the flushing noise and acts like its going to but then doesnt. Is this just something simple i can do myself? is it just something wrong with the handle, do I need a new one?

  • Breastfeeding questions, need experienced pro breastfeeding moms opinion?

When I have my baby in May I want to breast feed. I want to do this for the Nutritional benefits as well as financial savings since I make too much to have WIC. Will I start bf when in the hospital? Do i tell the staff i want to bf and not to give formula to the baby? Also, I feel very strong about not BF after age one. How often does a newborn (like 1-8 weeks old) feed? I heard when you bf its every one and a half hours. That seems really demanding. Or is it 3 hours like formula fed babies? When I go back to work (3mo later) do i have to pump at work in order for my supply to not run out? I won't be able to do this. I can pump before work but thats it, do daycares like feeding pumped breast milk or will they throw a fit? Please give me any advice you can as well as some answers to my questions.

  • lunch ideas for someone who is 6 mo pregnant, going to the store tonight, pls help?

Hello all, I am almost 6 months pregnant. For me that means I am not eating any deli meats. I also do not eat beef, pork, or fish. Can anyone give me ideas for lunches I can make? I am home bymyself during the day so I will only be cooking for one. I get to the store and draw a blank so I have been getting frozen healthy choice meals. They taste nasty and don't fill me up. I am open to any fruits or veggies as well as chicken and turkey (but not deli meat version). I also eat all types of breads etc. Please give me some ideas..i would greatly appreciate it
