I'm a professional modelmaker based in Northern Ireland. Apologies for my dreadful typing, most of my posts are typed while eating either breakfast or lunch!! Feel free to message me with airsoft or modelmaking questions Be advised though, I won't answer questions like 'which gun is best?', 'is X store good?', 'where can I get a 500fps sniper for $15?' etc etc...

  • Ordering search results by date?

YA in their wisdom don't give us the option to filter search results by date and never seemed particularly interested in user feedback on this issue.

Now, I've got no intention of trawling through individual categories (which can be listed by date) for questions I want to answer. What I (and I'm sure many others) do is use a search which will grab the questions I want from across all of the categories.

Before the update adding &s=-date to the search string in the address bar used to order them by date, it no longer seems to work.

The new string would seem to be &orderby=-date (as seen on the category pages) but this won't work for me either.

    Any ideas?

  • So, why should I keep contributing?

(posted here to catch the airsoft folks...)

Seriously, all I do on here is answer the same dozen or so questions. People have no incentive to search to see whether their question has already been asked, and so all I see is a constant stream of the same inane (and often misspelled and/or moronic) questions.

Lately I've started only answering new, difficult or unusual questions, but having to trawl through the dross for the one worthwhile question a day is getting very old.

And what do we get in return? Usually there's no word of thanks and with about 90% for questions, the asker doesn't even bother to choose a best answer.

So, once more here's my question. Why should I, an expert in my chosen fields, devote a not inconsiderable of my time and effort to supplying the same information over and over again?....

  • Where to get Classic Army spares?

Anyone know of any online stores selling CA spares? Specifically an AUG outer barrel?

And before someone says it; no, I won't find them on airsplat, hobbytron or any of those sites...
