  • Best emerging crypto for 2018?

We saw massive gains from Ethereum, Cardano, and others with 100x returns last year. What will be the emerging coin this year? What will coinbase add? We know anything they add will skyrocket.

  • What do you call extrapolating an argument from a story?

I'm looking for a word I can't think of. It is when a person makes an argument from out of a single experience, such as "all kids get sick from being in the cold, because once my daughter sat outside in the cold and got sick".

  • Write a program that outputs numbers to a website?

I am trying to write or find a simple program that would act just as if I were typing numbers. Basically, I want the numbers 1-12 typed extremely quickly over and over again, faster than my fingers can. I need a program that can simulate this, so even a website would recognize it.

  • Would you pay for an online music tutor?

As someone wanting to learn music, would you pay to have someone tutor you online with a video chat program? Would you also pay for watching videos on how to play (much like a "how to play the guitar" dvd videos) an instrument online? How much would you be willing to pay for a tutor per one hour session? What about to watch an hour of teaching video?

    Thank you for your replies.

  • Valuing a fledgling, mature company that is unprofitable?

I am studying Nasdaq: COSI. They've been around for 10+ years (public) and have been shutting down stores, losing revenue, and producing losses for some years now. Just last summer they raised new cash through a new round of offerings (which basically kept them liquid). From what I can see, there is nothing in the way of a turnaround and the stock is down to .70/share. Yet, the book value is closer to .20/share. How would one even begin to arrive at a market cap for this company? Traditional valuation methods all include assumptions such as future growth and horizon values. At this point, it seems irresponsibly optimistic to do this. It seems like the market cap should be much closer to book value. So, if I had to summarize why the market cap is 50m when it's book is only 14m, what would it be? Simple optimism? Ignorant investors in a near-micro stock (not much analysis or talk about the stock is easily found/takes more time to know where it's going).

  • Probabilities question?

    3) Two local sports teams, Team A and Team B, will be playing other teams tomorrow. Team A has a 30% chance of winning, and Team B has a 40% chance of winning. The probability that both teams will win tomorrow is 15%. What is the probability that neither local team will win tomorrow?

My question is within the question itself. Shouldn't the probability that both teams will win be 12%?? I thought it would be .30 * .40 = .12. How did they come up with 15%?

  • Hiring Website Developer?

    Hiring Website Developers?

I am wanting to start an online business. I understand the business side of things and the technology, but don't have the time or understanding to develop and manage the website. I will need someone/a group to develop a site that will integrate videos, as well as webcam + chat sessions. Even if it means using 3rd party programs, such as skype or Mikogo, I would like it entirely integrated into the site itself. It is basically a coaching site that will bring together tutors and students all on one integrated site.

    My questions are:

    1) How many people should I look to hire? Could 1 person accomplish this within a reasonable timeframe (3-9 months)?

    2) Where should I look to hire? I am thinking elance, but would looking locally be reasonable (I live in a smallish city of 200,000).

    3) I would like to hire on an equity basis. Is this reasonable for such a large project? If so, what amount of equity should I be ready to give up? I thinking 30-49% range, considering they will be doing long-term management of the site and extra business work as needed in the long-run.

    4) When hiring, should I request people with a knowledge in a certain coding language?

    Thank you,

    Devin

  • WHAT IS THE BEST MOVING SERVICE?

We are moving some furniture 2 hours to a different city. Is U-haul the best option? What about PODS or any other service? Also, if we use U-Haul, is it better to drive it to the new city and drop it off there or return it to the original location?

  • How long before gay marriage is legal in every state?

Most estimates are for every state to have it legal by 2030. The rate at which opinions are changing, I'd say 2025.

  • Why is the South a bunch of moochers?

The 47% are mostly in the South and Texas. Why do they put so little into our system and yet take so much? They get back $1.30-1.70 for every dollar of tax they pay! They are just sucking our system dry. Why do they have to live off the good folk of this country? Guess they just voted obama into office so they could keep sucking the teet

  • Tyler Bray sets SEC record for passing yards in a season?

He currently has 3,216. The record is Tim Couch with 4,275. Assuming they make a bowl game, he just has to throw for 353 yards a game. If he can put up a big game versus Kentucky and they keep him in the entire game, he could put up 400-500 yards and make it a lot easier in the bowl game.

  • Prediction: Bama still makes the championship game?

Here is why: They just need two of the 3 remaining teams to lose a game. Notre Dame plays way too many close games and I would say it's 60:40 that either Wake Forest or USC beats them. KState just has one ranked opponent left and no conference championship. I would say 90% Kstate makes it into the big game. This leaves us with Oregon. They may win out, but it's a tough road with 3 ranked games remaining and they're getting a game out of Cal as we speak. They have Stanford, Oregon St, and either UCLA or USC in the Pac-10 champ game. I would say they win out 60% of the time. That leaves us with an overall 50:50 shot for Bama from where I'm sitting. Certainly crazier things have happened in the last weeks of a college football season...

  • Which undefeated team will fall tonight?

ND already got extremely lucky to survive today.

Oregon is up by 10 currently (3rd q)

    KState is up by 7 (3rd q)

    Bama is up by 4 (3rd q)

Who will crack? Or will everyone survive?
