  • Are there any good places to camp near the NAU campus?

My friend and I just want to sleep outside, but want to be far enough away from the campus to avoid any late night mischief. We have a car, but want to stay relatively close. All of the campgrounds are closed but we'd need a place to park and want to stay around the area of the car. I was thinking just pull of somewhere along Lake Mary Road (maybe take the road right after Frontier?). Know of anywhere? Thanks!

  • What is the correct conjugation for these sentences in French?

    (In passe compose)

Does "Elles se brossent les cheveux" become Elles se sont brossées les cheveux?

Does "Ils arrivent à l'heure" become Ils sont arrivés à l'heure?

Does "Les élèves sortent leurs devoirs" become Les élèves sont sortis leurs devoirs?

Thanks, I did the assignment once and got those wrong but don't want to submit the wrong answers again. I think I corrected them?

  • Do you think I got a ticket?

The other day I was driving down a two lane road with speed limit 40. My top speed was probably around 53 because there was no one in front of/behind me. I saw a Scottsdale Police photo radar van. I was fully aware I was going over the speed limit and had time to brake but definitely panicked as I hit the brake. By the time I was near the van I had slowed down to at least 45, 47 (under 50), but in my terror I don't know the exact the number, it could have been (and I hope it was!) lower. I looked towards the van as I went by it and I didn't see any flash at all. It was around 9:15 in the morning and I was facing the sun so I would have seen a flash, right? Of course I have to nervously check the mail the next three weeks, but my main question is don't you think I would have seen the flash? From what I read online it seems that you do see the flash and you have to be going 11 over. I'm not sure that's the case for the radar vans, but hopefully it is. What do you think?

  • Can you rewrite this French sentence in passe compose?

    "Suzanne se sent triste."

The verb is se sentir, to feel. I started by trying "Suzanne s'est senti triste." After a few other tries I realized it should be used with avoir (it follows the same rule as dormir) but I'm stuck. "Suzanne s'a senti triste" didn't work, nor did "Suzanne s'a sentie triste" like a conjugation website said. I even tried Google's "Suzanne l'a senti triste." Help!

  • When writing about an individual dance from a dance show, do you put it in quotation marks?

When writing about the show as a whole you italicize, but I'm not too sure about the individual dances.

  • Looking for a song and I only know a few lyrics, do you know it?

It's sung by a girl and I heard it at the mall the other day. They only parts I can remember are "soft eyes" and "don't miss your queue." It's a slower song, and it's sort of along the lines of Regina Spektor.

  • Why won't my Roller Coaster Tycoon game work?

I had installed the game on my computer at one point over the summer (where it worked fine) and this weekend was the first time I've tried playing it since.

I have Roller Coaster Tycoon and the Corkscrew/loopy landscapes expansion installed. For whatever reason, when I went to play, all of my unlocked games were locked. I didn't know why because I had unlocked them, but I didn't care all too much. But I started playing and within a minute my entire computer, running Windows Home Premium 7 was locked up. After restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling twice, it had the same problem.

I have no idea what to do. Obviously it's not the discs or anything as they've worked before and they're perfectly clean. I've read about starting in compatibility mode, but why would I have to do that if it's worked before?

    Anything will be helpful, thanks!

  • What is the empirical formula for copper (II) sulfate?

We did a lab experiment and it tells us to compare our empirical formula to the "real" empirical formula. I've been looking all over and I'm a little confused by what I've found and how to write it.

By my calculations I have 4.82 mol H2O and 1 mol copper sulfate, so should I write my formula like this: CuSO4*4.82H2O, with the asterisk being the little "absorbs" dot (also, I'm supposed to leave 4.82 as a decimal).

Additionally, it would be helpful if you could help me out on this: how would I solve for the following question? How many grams of H2O would 25 grams of anhydrous copper (II) sulfate absorb?

    Thanks so much!

  • iTunes no longer recognizes cd's?

Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

Wednesday I imported two regular cd's, nothing pirated or anything, and they were fine. Yesterday I went to back to import something else, and nothing seemed to work. Today I tried again with a different cd and it's still not working.

    So far I have:

Cleaned the cd, etc., but my computer reads and recognizes the cd

    Repaired iTunes

    Uninstalled iTunes

    Reinstalled iTunes

I don't know what I can do. I've been through 5 pages of Google so far, and nothing seems to help. I had iTunes 10 when I imported the cd's, and I had it today, and after nothing was importing I updated to 10.1.1. Do you have any ideas or solutions that might help?

Obviously not with the base, but just the part where you put the liquids in.

  • What happens if you lose a check?

I was recently given a check from my neighbors. I'm going to look at my school today, and call the store I went to. It fell out of my pocket, and I'm hoping that someone turned it in.

But what happens if I don't find it, and it floats around for a while? Can someone else cash it, even with my name on it?

  • Where can I get printed Vans shoes?

I know that these are printed, but I can't find any websites online that carry any like these. I don't want a handpainted pair.

http://fuckyeahvansshoes.tumblr.com/post/449554507 (I like these a lot more than the other pair, but they're both something I would be willing to buy. Know any other designs like this one?)

  • Do you think I would make a suitable soccer ref?

I'm an almost fifteen year old girl who is physically fit.

I've played two years of soccer in elemantary school, but stopped with soccer after that. I will be attending a soccer referee class on Saturday and Sunday, and have read all of the Laws. I have taken pretests to better prepare myself for this weekend.

My class is to become a Grade Nine Referee, and I would be reffing from U12 and under.

I appreciate the sport, and have a desire to learn more about it. Would you recommend this? Do any of you have referee backgrounds or an experience similar to mine?

  • What kind of questions am I "allowed" to ask my teacher?

So, I'm pretty close with my teacher. I've asked her for advice on different things, and I've spent time talking to her. Am I allowed to ask her for help on things that don't just have to do with petty things like friend drama? And have you ever confided in a teacher?

  • What are some good quotes that have to do with loving from the heart, not the brain?

I'm writing an essay comparing the book Flowers for Algernon to the movie Flowers for Algernon, and I would like to start it off with a quote that has to do with someone not caring how smart or dumb you are, but how love is "from the heart"...

    Quote and author, please :D

  • What are bowling ball measurements?

I'm doing a project but I can't seem to find the measurements of bowling balls!

I don't really care what weight; I just need the diameter, radius, and if possible the circumference of one specific weight.

    Thanks!

Oh, and I have another question open... Do you know of any good websites about Cheryl Daniels, the bowler?

  • Are there any good websites about Pro Bowler Cheryl Daniels?

I'm doing a report, and I need some information about her.

Any and everything helps, especially her birthday, in depth about her bowling career, when she retired etc., and any racial tension.

I'd like websites that have the information of everything befforreeee 1990, as that's the time period I'm working with.

    Thank you all :D!

  • What do you think about holding hands?

    Well, two questions...

What about holding hands with your best friend, if it's just fun and we're both female?

And there's a boy I really like, and we hang out and go to the movies and stuff. We're not dating, I'm only 14 and he's 13. He knows I like him, but he doesn't like me as a girl friend. What do you think about holding hands there?

Or is it better to just link arms?
