  • A Rodent in my aparment who pays for it?

I think we have a rodent in my aparment. Just this past weekend we heard something scratching in the walls. I never saw any droppings, but i refuse to have this. I wanted to know if my landlords pay for it or I do? I live in a large apartment community and i looked at my lease. I did not see anything about infestations or anything in it. Can someone please help. Thank you.

  • Black toddler hair care tips?

Ok. So I a mixed (black/white) and my husband is full black. I know how to do a lot of styles but I am asking for my 18 month old. She first off all hates getting her hair done. On top of that she has very fine, thin hair. This i don't understand I have tight curls and my husband has fairly kinky hair. I am sure it is genetics and i know it will thicken and tighten but it is also very long. I wanted some tips on how to get her to let me do her hair and what types of styles. I do not want to pull too much on her hair because she has fairly thin hair. Any advice?

  • Snacks for kids with food allergies?

My 17 month old has been diagnosed with allegies to dairy, soy, egg, nuts and seeds, shellfish, and other non food allergies. I have been trying to substituite his regular snacks which contain pretty much at least one of those ingredients (esp, egg, soy and dairy). It is really hard to find snacks he can eat. Does anyone know of any foods that are free of all those ingredients? Obviously he has plenty of fruits and veggies but he also needs grains from snacks like crackers and other breads. I just can't find any pre-packeged items without those ingredients in them. Anyone have any recipes for homemade snacks without those things in them? Any advice or links is greatly appreciated.

  • Food stamp benefits in GA?

My husband and I live in Dekalb County, GA, the gross income limit for a family of four is 2389.00. We both work and have two children. I have calculated our gross income time and time again and I know we do not make over this limit. I called them and the woman even calculated it for me, with the paycheck stubs i sent them. Has anyone else every experienced this? If so what did you do? Did you receive benefits in the end? My husband and I struggle to buy food and diapers every week and we really need a little bit of money for other things (clothes for our 17 month old twins, money for gas). But every time I get a caseworker and they do it we are denied. Our bills are high, but it doesn't even matter they go strictly off of your gross. I just wanted to know if anyone has any advice? Thank you.

  • Are atheists commonly anarchists?

Because I know most Christians are probably for government. I just wanted to ask if most atheists disagree with any form of government, or maybe communism? Im not sure. Are there any atheists who voted in current elections? If so are you democrat, republican, independent?

  • To the atheist...do you have kids?

I am just curious. Because upon witnessing such a miracle how could you stil not believe? And also what if your child decides to have a religion, would demean their beliefs? And don't say it wouldn't happen, cause it can and it does. FYI, I am Christian and will raise my kids that way. If they choose a different path i will love and respect them the same.

  • Question about plus sized pregnancy?

I am 19 weeks pregnant and expecting my third child ( I have 16 month old twins). My first pregnancy I remember gaining 80 lbs and being hungry all the time prob because it was twins. This pregnancy I haven't gained any weight. I eat, I am fairly active and I just don't see the number going up. For someone my weight I am only supposed to gain 20 lbs. I am scared though, the baby seems fine, i feel it moving the hearbeat is normal. The funny thing is though I haven't gained weight my stomach has grown and my clothes don't fit. I hear this is common for bigger women to not gain a lot. Have any other plus sized women experienced this? If so was your baby a healthy weight?

  • Does it take a certain amount of jealousy to be happy?

I know it sounds crazy but I think it takes just a little bit of jealousy to keep things going in your relationship. Like I know I trust my husband totally but still when other women look at him (or vice versa) I kinda get a little upset. I don't tell him but I just sometimes want to flip off the female looking at him. I just think it helps you remember how lucky you are to have someone that is still desirable.

  • Is it common for men to withhold affection?

I am married and have 2 children. When my husband and I disagree or have issues I often tell him that I do not think he shows me affection. And Im not saying that he shows me some, he shows me absolutely none. He wouldn't kiss me if I didn't make him. I hate to sound whiny and needy but I just want him to express his love for me. Other than this one thing he is a great father and provider. I just want to know is this common? I feel like he is at this point doing it to spite me because he knows that is what I need from him. Will I always feell this way? I don't think it is worth a divorce but I want him to open up and try. I am willing to try new things for him. But the other day he told me that I do not accept him for who he is. I guess in a way he is right other than this I love everything about him. But he is emotionally hardened because of his past. I personally feel he needs counseling because I feel all people can show love. They may not be super romantic and mushy but at least something.

  • Should I have my tubes tied at 24?

I am 24 years old and expecting my third child. My husband and I already have twins and that alone is hard enough. I know I am very young but a part of me wants to get it done. We don't want nor can we afford anymore children. I am just wondering if anyone else thinks this is too young? Or should I do it? My doctor said he would do it but doesn't really recommend it before 30.

  • White people why do you wash your hair everyday?

It is just a question. Letting your hair's natural oils build up is healthier. Im curious, does your hair get oilier faster? Cause I wash my hair once a week and it still is dry.

  • Is this normal in early pregnancy?

Ok so I am 2 months pregnant. I have 13 month old twins. I remember vividly early on in my first pregnancy not being able to eat the first few months because I felt so sick and bloated all the time. I actually lost weight, which is normal. This pregnancy is totally opposite. I am hungry all the time and I have not thrown up once. I just wanted to know if this was normal? 99% of women I know said they lost weight their first trimester. I haven't weighed myself but Im sure I gained at least 5 lbs. I just wanted to know if anyone else had extreme hunger early on?

  • What should I do as a soon to be mother of 3?

I am a mother of one year old twins. I am 7 weeks pregnant. I am wondering should I go back to work when my new baby is born or just take time off and stay at home for the next couple years. Maybe go back to school and take online courses. I am torn. If I stay home it is a smaller income for my husband and I, On the other hand I won't have to deal with the stress of finding child care for 3 children under two. I see pros and cons on both ends. But Im leaning more towards staying home. My husband makes a decent amount but he wants a better paying job. Im thinking about going back part-time maybe 2 days a week. What do you think?

  • Why does everyone think black people like fried chix and kool aid?

I mean don't get me wrong fried chix is good. But i rarely eat that. Maybe once a month. I would rather have salmon, grilled chix, veggie burger. So to all the racist white people who think that is what black people love...who doesn't like fried chix? I would take fried chix over a big bowl of spaghetti with all those carbs and nasty *** bloody steaks and burgers you guys eat.

  • Do you think where you live has influenced your experiences with other races?

I live in Atl, Ga. I can say the majority of my experiences with people of other races has been positive. I have met my share of racist whites, ghetto blacks, but they have all balanced out with normal people. I think people play up the negative situations too much. I know in Atl most of the people here are black, and i live in the biggest black suburb in the country. So i don't relate to a lot of the stereotypes on here about black people that white people talk about. And contrary to popular belief a lot of southern whites love black people!!! So how about you?

  • Does the body naturally balance out calories in and out?

I usually work out 4 days a week, but for the last couple weeks i haven't been working out that often ( i know not good). I have noticed a change in my appetite. Before I would be eating 3 meals and a snack. Now I am not hungry at all. I will eat breakfast and not be hungry for the rest of the day. My breakfast is usually between 400-500 cals. I wanted to know does the body adjust to the level of calories it needs to maintain itself? Because now that i havent been working out as much Im just not as hungry as I was when I was working out. Because I am just never hungry, I have to make myself eat even if its been 5 or 6 hours since I last ate.

  • Isnt that offensive to Haiti?

I am a proud Christian woman, but does anyone else find it offensive that now Christians are going to Haiti to "save" them? Not from poverty and famine but from voodoo. I just think that is wrong. If someone wants to convert they can. I just feel like these overbearing type of people give us all a bad name. They like to use the Bible as a weapon. Instead of a tool to help others.
