  • Do I use my maiden name or my married name on a new passport?

I am divorced now, but still use my married name. My married name is the one on all my legal documents like my driver's license, health card, social insurance card, etc. Now I want to apply for a passport (in Ontario Canada). Do I use my "married but divorced" name? Or my maiden name?

  • Should I stay in this relationship?

I'm 35, divorced for 5 years, two kids, and have been in a new relationship for the last year and a half with a man who has custody of his son. We blended our families a few months ago and now live together. Our kids are very happy to have new "siblings". However, from day one, it was evident my bf doesn't think he belongs here. He feels like he's not good enough for me, and constantly has things to complain about: the noise from our three kids and their friends is a big issue. It's like he hates our life. He's always angry (not abusive though) about everything, nothing seems to make him happy. We talk about it, decide to try harder, and next thing you know he's back to being angry, telling me he's unhappy, complaining about how busy we are, we never have a moment to ourselves, it's too noisy around here, etc. I feel he hates our life together and I'm tired of trying. He's a good man, deep down, very supportive and I know I can count on him for pretty much anything. But I'm afraid to tell him anything because it all makes him angry and upset and then we're back to square one. I hate to hurt my kids by leaving him, but I don't know if I can do this anymore. He's in counselling now but I don't know if I have what it takes to see him through it. I feel like my optimism and my spirit have been worn out, we never have fun together anymore because we end up fighting over nothing, and I don't know if I can ever get "it" back - - the feelings I had for him. I feel resentful all the time now. I know the grass isn't greener on the other side, I'm afraid of leaving and making a mistake, but I don't know if I can stay either. I'm in limbo. What do you think?

  • Karaoke American Idol for Wii?

Has anyone tried the new Karaoke American Idol game for Wii? Is it fun? Do you actually get to sing?? I'm thinking of buying it but don't want to put out the money for something I'm not going to end up liking.

    Thanks.

  • iPod Touch 8GB?

Okay, let's assume that I'm totally and completely computer and iPod illiterate (who are we kidding, I actually am). I bought the iPod Touch yesterday and I asked this question yesterday but I don't think I was clear enough so here we go again. According to the iTouch, I have a full strength Wi-Fi signal in my home but I still get that "can't find server" message when I try to get online. Please dumb it all down for me, step by step, so I can get it to work. I know I use WEP and not WPA if that helps...I've tried disabling it, it doesn't work. I tried loads of things I found online yesterday, still doesn't work. But like I said...I'm illiterate in that sense so maybe I was doing it wrong. Please!! Step by step, completely dumbed down instructions. I don't even really know what WEP is...or how to do anything. My wireless router is D-Link DI 524.

    Thanks.

  • Wi-Fi on iPod Touch?

I am having trouble connecting my new iPod Touch (bought today) to the Wi-Fi in my house. I was looking here online and someone suggested to "disable WPA security on your wireless router".

This may sound like a stupid question, but how do I disable WPA security????

I know I have the right password and everything and the icon tells me it's connected and that I have a full signal. It just keeps telling me it can't connect to the server for some reason.

    Thanks.

  • How long can the effects of an anxiety attack last?

I had a major anxiety attack last night - my first one in two years. It was so painful and I was even throwing up with it!! After some time it subsided enough that I could get some sleep. However, this morning my chest still feels so tight. It's been two years since my last anxiety attack but I don't remember the effects of it lingering until the next morning. When it was over, it was over. What's going on? Is it possible that this is just the sign of another attack coming on?

  • Will I need winter tires?

Hi, I just bought a 2008 Honda CR-V EX-L with 4x4. We have winters with lots of snow and icy conditions are the usual. I am upgrading from a sedan with great winter tires because I am a believer in safety. I am used to driving in this weather though, and feel comfortable doing so. However, I'm wondering if I need to purchase winter tires for the 4x4 SUV. Is it safe enough as it is?

  • Looking for a song!!?

I just came back from my Hip Hop class and we were dancing to a song called "Wind Up" (according to the instructor) and the first words are something like: "summer's here" and it's obviously a very fast hip hop song. Does anyone know who sings it? I am trying to find it on YouTube but am having no luck. Thanks.

  • Wireless internet security?

I have had wireless internet at home for about a year and a half now. When I set it up, I made it secure, with a password. I am absolutely positive that it was secured connection. I used to check in often to make sure cause I was so paranoid. Now all of a sudden, it says that my wireless internet connection is unsecured!! What happened? And how can I restore it? I'm not sure I remember the security code I'd used.

  • Dry cleaning vs. washing?

I just bought two pairs of pants. One is made of 64% polyester, 34% rayon, and 2% spandex and says to dry-clean only. The other says 63% polyester, 34% rayon, and 3% spandex and says to hand wash. Why does one say to dry-clean and the other to hand wash when they're nearly identical in materials? I bought them from the same store and they are the same brand.

  • Can anyone give me an overview of Colitis??

My boyfriend (he's 37 years old) has colitis and he doesn't really say much about it. I know the basics, but sometimes he gets really sick and I don't really understand what's happening to him. Today, for instance, he ended up in the hospital for a few hours being treated, and then he just wanted to go home to sleep and be alone. He won't talk to anyone, not even me, and he insists on going to the hospital alone, not wanting anyone to accompany him.

I'm trying to be patient with all of it but it would help if I understood it better, I guess. What causes it? He says he's supposed to take pills with every meal but I have never seen him take one single pill in the year and a half we have been together. What about diet? What can I do to help? Any ideas? He does exercise a lot, working out and running. Is it possible to overdo that part though?

Sorry if none of this makes sense. I dont' want to search the Net cause there's just too much info there!! Help.

  • At what point should my daughter find out the reality of her Cystic Fibrosis?

My 5 year old daughter has CF, and she was diagnosed at 5 months old. She knows she has CF and she has been hospitalized once for a two week period. I know she is too young now to learn that CF is a fatal illness, but I often wonder when I should tell her. I don't want her finding out randomly from some stranger she overhears talking, or by doing research on the Net one day when she's a little older.

Today she was asking if lots of kids have CF, and if some parents have CF. I answered yes to both questions, though I know the number of actual parents who have CF must be minimal as most men with CF are infertile and women have trouble conceiving as well. Never mind the fact that the median survival age is 37.

I'm obviously not going to tell her the reality of it right now, but I often wonder when the right time will come. Any suggestions? Anyone been in this position?

  • Male and female betta?

I just bought a male and am thinking of putting in a female as well as I'm told that males are only aggressive against other males. However, the woman at the aquarium store told me that if there is only one female, then they probably won't mate (and I don't want them to). Is this true?

  • Betta fish?

I just bought a Betta and have a question about feeding while I'm away. I won't be away for long. I plan to leave about lunch time on Friday, and will be back on Sunday by supper time. Should I worry about not having anyone around to feed the fish on Saturday? My aquarium has a lid on it since I'm told male Bettas can jump, and I won't be able to put an automatic feeder in there.
